he raves about the graphics, but then leaves you with an ending note that the game play gets repetitive.

despite the high score, im second guessing.

it does get repetitive but thats if you play a lot in one sitting.  Everytime I played, I stopped  after reaching 2-3 savepoints.

borrowed my friend's copy and japanese wii a few months ago.

Well your grasp of the English language must be bad then... Where does he say gameplay gets repetitive?, which alludes to the everything the game has to offer.

He does in fact say what I've quoted below clearly for all to see, and it''s in reference to the combat looking so, not being so:  ( You should post quotes and activate links in OP's.)

    IGN:

"Muramasa: The Demon Blade is as much a piece of art as it is a game, and it’s that true cohesive nature that will keep players pushing further and further along. The gameplay isn’t always the deepest experience in either the action or RPG genres – two buttons, blades, and a whole lot of killing –but the game’s inherent action mechanic is fun, fast, and addicting, and there always seems to be something new around the next corner; visually, gameplay, or otherwise. The first playthroughs will last most hardcore gamers well over 20 hours, players that dive into the game’s harder difficulty are rewarded with new bosses and better blades, and the experience is polished and captivating from the first second to the last.

Bottom line though is that it’s just fun to play. Action is fierce,

and while battles are repetitive if you look at them, they never seem to get stale either

. There may be areas where Demon Blade could have been improved upon, but when it comes to the seamless blending of visuals, audio, and downright fun, Muramasa is a true classic, and shouldn’t be missed. If this sounds like your type of experience, do yourself a favor and pick it up. Games like this don’t come around every day. "

Just trust me, and get this game.

I already wrote my review of it (and for some reason the site here won't let me post the damn thing.) and its fantastic, honestly.  Graphically its amazing, and while it is kind of repetitive, it is still fun as hell.

I always find games of this style pretty repetitive. So long as it's fun enough to last, I don't think you should worry about it. It looks awesome

Every game is repetitive to some extent. All that matters is whether or not you enjoy doing said sutff that is repetitive.

If you dig 2D hack and slash, then you should be able to easily get over this being repetitive. If you don't, then umm....there's always other games.

I have to echo the recommendations.  Buy Muramasa.  It's an excellent game and easily one of the best Wii exclusives out there.
