    Overview

NBA Live 97 is the third game in EA Sports' basketball series NBA Live and the first to be released on the Sega Saturn. The 32-bit versions of the game featured 3D polygonal players: the first game in the series to do so. 16-bit versions continued to use sprites and the franchise's distinctive angled perspective of the court.

The game uses the 1996-97 NBA roster, and includes all 29 teams as well as two All-Star teams and space for four custom teams. It would be followed by NBA Live 98, the last 16-bit game in the series.
