It's an Okami sequel as speculated.

    For the DS.

    With chibi SD wolf (prequel?).

But it looks pretty good, and drawing should be better than ever.

I'm happy to have a sequel to Okami, but I wish they were making it for the Wii.

Does anyone know who's developing the game?

The DS has the perfect interface for a brush mechanic.  I hope the game turns out well.

Holy shit, awesome! I was expecting this to be on the Wii if it ever happened, but the DS is a far better choice [means I can actually play it :D]

Sounds like a perfect match to me if they nail the stylus controls.

They only say that the producer is Motohide Eshiro and the director is Kuniomi Matsushita.

Some more pics should turn up later today from the Famitsu issue that features it. Why that above pic shows so little is odd..

I'm hoping it will have some DSi exclusive features, as with other recent games of this caliber on DS.

Ammy looks cute. I cannot wait for the fluffy SD toys to appear :P

Meh. I am not excited, for two reasons:

    • 3D graphics look fucking horrible on DS. I mean, look at those screens... they're awful, despite being heavily stylized.
    • It's hard to make good 3D controls on the DS, due to the lack of analogue sticks. I'm guessing the game will control like shit.
    • Clover isn't working on this.

Really...? I think it looks pretty good for a DS game...

I see where you're coming from on the 2nd point, though. However, I'm willing to overlook a lot - A LOT - simply because this is possibly Capcom's (this is Capcom, right?) way of testing the waters for a full-on Wii sequel. DEAR GOD LET THIS BE TRUE.

The DSi has an improved spongy D-Pad which is great for 3D platformer games on the evidence of play playtime with SM64 DS

It's Capcom, but it's not Clover (the ones who developed the first Okami).  They left Capcom to form Platinum Games.

It looks good for a DS game with 3D graphics, but that isn't saying much.

Perhaps, but I don't own a DSi and I'm not planning on buying one.

I was excited to hear this 'til I read DS.

A lush, lengthy and home console adventure would have made me happier, but I guess Okami in your pocket can't be a bad thing.

PS3 Okami would make my day.

Then again, without Clover, I'm on the fence about any new Okami game til I see it for myself.
