Patapon 2 was the most authentic Patapon 2 experience. Patapon 3 will, no doubt, be the most authentic Patapon 3 experience.

Revealed oh-so-briefly during Sony's E3 2010 briefing, Patapon 3 sees the return of the franchise's unique mix of strategy and rhythm-based play that'll have you inputting attack and defense commands to a groovy beat. It will also usher in a new Patapon to the franchise: a "warrior" Superhero.

The Superhero is the big deal. You'll be able to customize this little guy to your own specifications and then have him lead your army of miserable creatures on their march to defeat the seven evil spirits. You can also take this dude online in the game's up-to-eight-player competitive and multiplayer modes. Good luck with that, by the way. I know two dudes with a PSP.

Patapon 3 is set to hit this fall.

What's so different from the "hero" Patapons from Patapon 2 and the superhero patapons from this game?

I remember when the PSP had a lot of interesting and awesome games. Now there are like 2 good games a year. Kind of sad, because it has some great potential for non-3d sprite-heavy games, like Prinny.

This still isn't gonna get me to the store to buy another power cable for my PSP. The day that I can download these games from my PS3 is the day that I play Patapon.

ditto, I broke my third and last PSP a while ago right around when the first Patapon came out. so I never got to play much more than a demo of the game.  Really wish theyd release these on PSN.

You can download PSP games to your PS3 and then transfer them to your PSP.  >_>

I'm all for this! Unlike the other posters, it seems, I actually like my PSP and am stoked for KHBBS, Patapon 3, Valkyria Chron. 2, etc.

Yeah. I just straight up lost my battery charger two years ago. Every now and then I'll look down, see it sitting on the floor in its little soft black case, and remember I still own it. Patapon and... some other games I can't think of... make me want to play it every once in awhile, but there's just far too many better things I can do with the time and money.

Er, what? Even if I wanted to go through all that crap, it would be completely pointless. I don't have a power cable to recharge the batteries. The PSP won't turn on.

You can't charge the psp with a dead battery.  By now you need the ac adapter to charge the battery.

Yeah. The AC adapter is what I'm talking about. It's long gone.

I enjoyed playing Patapon, and was pissed when I had to order Patapon 2 from Europe to get a disc. But I loved Patapon 2, and I've played it for over 3 days of total game time. I seriously hope whoever makes these decisions is smart enough to give me an actual disc in America.

@Darkstar614: I dunno, with Persona 3 Portable, Third Birthday, Birth by Sleep for the US folks, Patapon 3, and even Peace Walker now (plus solid PS1 re-releases like the FFs) I'd say the PSP is looking to see a lot of use in the near future.

Third Birthday alone is probably my most anticipated title for any system

@FunExplosions:  SO you won't buy a power cable because you can't transfer games from the PS3 but when told you can do that you won't because you don't have a power cable?

Good point well made jaks btw.
