So it's 400 points, or $5, this week on XBL. How highly do you recommend it? I've played the original PC version of Peggle.

Highly enough.  It's Peggle, with leaderboards and a pretty cool online mode, but I doubt anyone plays the online anymore (haven't checked in a very long time).  Depending on how you want to play you might prefer the PC version, but otherwise it's the same with extra features.

I would say so, and Peggle nights is coming soon as an expansion I think for 5 dollars as well.  So you could essentially nab two peggle games for the price of one.

Peggle Nights already came out on XBLA, in the US at least, in the last few days.

Just play Peggle Extreme, for free. If you really need more after that, then buy another.

Meh, played the trial. Not much of a puzzle game, it seemed to rely too much on luck.

@Al3xand3r: Peggle Extreme is a rather small taste, but it makes a good demo.  The OP played Peggle, so he knows what it's about.

@MysteriousBob: There's a factor of luck, but there can be a lot of skill involved, if you're good at seeing the logic behind the bounces.  More than anything it's a visceral game, the sound and visual effects providing a motivating experience.

This is on the deals of the week again. Never played it before, but picked it up tonight and it is definitely worth the $5.
