So I want rumble in my games (RUMBLE IS BACK!) but I also want to save up for upcoming games that are Rock Band and Little Big Planet. What should I choose?

Well depending on how many games you have and how many games you really want.
I would go with the DS3 though, I hear it`s awesome.

get the games first...but get a DS3 very soon, best rumble controller hands down atm..feels so good and responsive, and reacts perfectly to whatever the situation is on screen. Feels perfect in weight and feel too.

Rumble can wait, you should definitely go for the games if you want LittleBigPlanet. You're not going to need rumble to enjoy that game.

dude my friend has a first generation 20 gig ps3 and his sixaxis controllers are seriousy turning into crap.  theyre getting glitchy and unresponsive and the analogs are getting whacky. its not as bad as it sounds but its all noticable.

Get a DS3, I was debating on getting one too. I was in the same situation as you but I went with the DS3, it makes the game experience more fun.

I got my DS3 because I had extra cash and MGS4 was almost out.

If you have to pick between LBP and rumble, save up for LBP.

I would recommend a DS3, but not when you're having to choose between it and games.

Rumble is kind of bizarre, really. It's nice when it's done well, but it's pretty weird that it's considered more-or-less essential. Since when was sensing vibration one of our primary methods of perception? It'd be pretty strange if they started handing out rumble boxes at the cinema for us to hold. I have a couple of DS3s, but I'd definitely go for the games first. It's a great controller, but the Sixaxis is fine.

Well, James, rumble inhances the experience that the gamers get playing games. Thats all there is to it. Its not handed out in theaters because most theaters have very powerful subwhoophers.

You know I bought a DS3, and still use my SIXAXIS more. I like having less weight in my hands while gaming instead of vibration.

in the UK, the DS3 costs the same as a new PS3 game, with a £5 margin at least. it's far too expensive. i doubt they'll lower the price for xmas though. the price made me get CoD4 instead of DS3, even though the game was slightly dearer.

yea it's overpriced but it's worth it. stop thinking about it and just go get one. You;ll be happy you did, it makes every game that supports it a better experience.

The DS3 is definitely worth the price, the rumble and weight is perfect. It depends, the DS3 will enhance your gaming experience, but the game is probably a better buy.
