Edge trat reviews using the full scale and are the opinion of the specific reviewer - much more than most publications/sites. All this means is that the reviewer in question didn't really care for the game.

boo hoo - the staff need to grow a pair. If they were such touchy feely bosses they should have the home contact numbers of their staff. Even Activision can't stop them making contact out of working hours.
Also - a security guard marching you out the door and having all your shit shipped in a cardboard box is what happens when you get fired from a large corporation. Been there, done that.

What he actually says is Anime sucks now. I bet - like say US TV - the best stuff gets exported and there is an awful lot of dross left for the home market.
With them adding achievements and stuff to a game as old as Portal it suggests a viral campaign - probably for Portal 2. Portal was always part of the HL universe but if you mean a direct crossover with say EP3 - can't see it. Totally different in tone.
Just wanted to plug this article I read. It is a very interesting peice disguided as a rant. Unusual to see it on a news blog when you would expect it in a glossy magazine like GQ.
In Victorian times sure and I guess the working class pre-WW2 but now even the poor can get free dental so not so much. Some areas - geographic and social - of course but that is the same for any country.
Kudos on these disclaimers you add - everyone assumes them but nobody else seems to make such a point of declaring them like that. Can you imagine if old print mags had to write "Our cover story was bought and paid for by our advertisers" - might have helped keep them honest.
