Rayman Legends is about as kid friendly as it gets. I'd also consider the Ratchet and Clank series.

There's just something about the graphics in this game that makes it look like a 360/PS3 game at times. There's some awesome shots in that demo, but then all the characters look like high-def lego figures.

I dunno... I'd rather say there are some games that I'm really excited for. Looking at the rest of the year I'm eyeing like three, maybe four, games when I'm usually looking at 10+. And while there are a few games lined up for next spring, even if you combine them with the games lined up this year it barely makes for a good fall release. But as I said, most of them look like bangers so that sorta makes up for it.

No, but I live in a "socialist" country, where telecoms is run by a government owned company.

I think we can all agree that Sony won, by not showing up. Kidding ofc, but this sure has been one of the least interesting E3s in a while.

@liquiddragon: As far as I understand it a good few reviewers liked it, but the general audience found it to be fairly average. It seems to me like a lot of the positive response stems from people liking it's attitude more than the first one.

I'd highly recommend They are Billions and Total War Warhammer 1 and 2. While they both have real-time elements they allow you to pause the action at any time, giving you ample freedom to play it slowly and methodically. Although as far as I understand Into the Breach is almost more of a puzzle game, isn't it ? Which might be why you didn't find FTL to scratch the same itch.

@reap3r160: But do I really need another subscription to play a few games a bit better when I already have a PC that play them fairly well ? I get the appeal, but as long as I'm "required" to maintain a gaming PC anyway the performance argument becomes fairly moot. As I said, if it would allow me to not spend money on a PC anymore then it becomes a different thing, but with that they're offering atm that's just not an option.

I'm looking at the list of games announced so far and thinking "why do I need a Stadia?". As long as there's a huge list of games I can only play on my PC I'm gonna need a good PC, so again, why do I need a Stadia? Now, if I could just import my Steam library to their service and play everything through Stadia I'd be there on day one ready to see if this was my new platform.

I've talked about this here before, but my view is basically that once you start pulling at these threads there's no going back and you're just off to the races, which is what I feel a lot of people have fallen victim to. It's not that you instantly get an attitude of "everything is bad/wrong", but you're caught in a situation where nothing can be right anymore. There's always something you can over-analyze, something that's "a problem", and you can't dismiss anything anymore without being a complete hypocrite. It's a path with no aim to achieve a solution, it just tries to remove all the problems, which is an awful way to approach things.

Ask yourself this, if games no longer idolized military, if they were no longer violent, if they were no longer discriminatory, if they were no longer (insert problem here), what would they be ? And if we somehow reached that point, would you be happy ? Or would you just have a new list of "things that are wrong in the 2050s" ?

It's commendable to try to progress our cultural society, but in the process it's also important to discuss and understand what is and isn't a major issue. And by constantly asking questions without ever having that discussion you're just being a nuisance.
