I am not a WoW guy but I have seen many games of the type later in their run do that kind of thing where they trivialize all the early content and I find it real shortsighted. But they just keep wanting to get people to the new stuff.
I used to more when I had done it in the past but it's not so hard now. I just usually say I'll do better on the cables and stuff but don't really when I do it.
I still have a fear of there being an issue with any piece of hardware when I get it in, particularly something just being dead and not working at all. In the past I have had that happen building a PC and it is devastating in the moment if you're a baby like me.
You're bringing up a fear of breaking things and the only part that I still can find a bit worrying in that way is the processor.
Adding a class to a game as developed as Diablo 3 is takes work but it is a tough thing about these games getting support long term. I can't say I love it either but seems consistent with other games, like mentioned. Across genres, the Warhammer game had new races at like $18. We have seen some of what goes into adding characters for fighting games.
For me this is why I prefer they package things together for a larger expansion.
@bisonhero: If you are taking a risk with the format it makes sense. I think a key of the game is how well it plays. Maybe Square wouldn't let them, who knows.
HL 3 easily for me. If they made HL 3 that would mean they felt they had some new vision and jump forward in technology I feel like so I would be very interested to see. I can't even make a guess other than I could see them putting it out as a VR game attempting to really put forth a legit AAA VR experience.
If the game wasn't in Egypt I probably wouldn't even be bothering with it. Ancient Egypt is a weakness of mine, so this could honestly be Far Cry, Watch Dogs, The Crew, etc. in Egypt and I'd still play it. I'm open to it surprising me and I hope it does. Ubisoft open world games aren't inherently bad as long as they give me some motivation to progress through the world.
The setting is very cool. I am a bit worried in that I don't think it supports the unique climbing as much but otherwise I also love that.
Part of what I see with this game is them leaning into being a historical game and I am into that but I think they aren't going much farther to add more hooks. It's similar gameplay set there and that's about it. I like the proposed ideas in here that would make it more Hitman ish and that sort of thing. It was what was unique. They also should be making you an assassin here. I think @humanity put forth some cool ideas. They really did not use the unique parts of the series in crowds and climbing and those sorts of things it feels like.
If they were going to make it generic style it would need to do more in other areas. Something. To me there is nothing grabbing me.
