@mattchops: i've maxed out the current tech tree, and had a lot of fun getting to the point i am at (around 100 hours). That being said, if you want something like subnautica's narrative to pull you through it isn't really in the game yet (they say its coming, but there isn't even bones yet). All the motivation for exploring the world is currently around resource discovery/exploitation.
well, Alex sure as hell chose differently than i did when it comes to saving characters. Since neither i nor anybody i know chose kaiden, this series should let us see if he becomes worthwhile in subsequent games.
wait, how do i like or subscribe? I mean, i did like the video, so ok, i guess i liked it? And i subscribe to nuke.com, which i guess includes this video...
Hey, a quick look featuring conversation about something other than video games or wrestling, wherein we get to admire Dan's Chauncey Gardiner-esque ability to glide through life absorbing zero knowledge.
On the plus side, I liked hand of fate one a lot, and a GB quicklook is what exposed me to it, so that's pretty cool.
@nickhead: Dan should never be a cop. DAN SHOULD NEVER BE A COP. Honestly I think Alex would be a responsible policemanofficerduder, but like most of the people that I would trust in a position of authority he seems disinterested.
I've played most of the recent cRPGs (torment, tyranny, pillars, wasteland, etc), and this game's combat is more difficult than any of those by a significant margin (on classic, anyway). The enemy AI is quite a bit smarter, and has access to enough of the same skills your party has to make most encounters tough. That being said, the learning curve is not insurmountable, and if you try to only engage with groups of your level you should be okay.
I'm with Rorie, that fight on the ship was rough, it was the first fight i lost. I ended up reloading and teleporting the character you need to protect out of the line of fire to keep her from getting backstabbed to death.
@lebdrift: I wouldn't say you are weird neccesarily, but just a few minutes into this video, it looks like they have a 212 or 212 evo, which is something you would want to mount before sticking into the case. I've built more than 20 and less than 50 pcs over the years, and i've always found it easier to build to board then mount afterwards.
@randalian: i think you are right. On the one hand, I try to be optimistic about people's capacity to learn and improve, but on the other hand either Dan or the opportunities presented to him by the kansas educational system did not a complete education make. On the gripping hand, I like a nice calm appreciation of the wonders of our (simulated) solar system without an endless barrage of "how does gravity?".
