@heatdrive88: I think a lot of people were children when they played it first? I dunno, there's a song called above the rising falls that's pretty good, and the gummi ship stuff is kinda fun. The story is the kind of nonsensical bullshit you get in a square game produced by the belts and buckles squad.

Dan's "I have amazingly profound gaps of general knowledge" and "I don't read" sounds about right. I do wish he would take Vinny's advice when Vinny asks him to just shut up. All that said, and echoing the sentiment that I'm not that into Neil DeGrasse Tyson, Astrophysics for people in a hurry is a nice quick read, and I didn't feel it went into enough detail to get confusing or distracting.
You can make a case for Blues Brothers being a more important movie than Wayne's World, I think. I like Wayne's World more. Macgruber is fine.
@xbob42: I'm not certain he's putting on a schtick, i think he just doesn't enjoy playing this bad game. Hopefully he can hang on until Dan's refusal to admit the truth fades.
@xbob42: Dolphin is the way to play this game absolutely. Also, you don't have to use a goofy gamecube controller. Much preferred using an XBone pad when i played this a bit earlier this year.
I'll throw my hat over the fence for having somebody else control for Kiwami, assuming they play it. Dan can make wrestling references just fine without having to play. Also, I wonder if they left the game on at some point, that game time doesn't jive with how much they got done.
This game is rad, and even if the guys don't play thru it here I'm very much looking forward to playing thru kiwami.
I'm about 15 minutes in, and BOY Dan seems like the only one that gives a shit. I recently replayed a chunk of this game in dolphin, and I gotta add my voice to the chorus placing it at the bottom of the 3d mario list. There's some real gems on the gamecube, this ain't one of them.
Boy I'm looking forward to new games coming out so that i don't have to hear about PUBG anymore! I don't think I've been as disinterested in a game that the crew was into since dota came out.
Jeff's point that games being readily available via piracy chilling Nintendo's ability to re sell you those games is absolutely accurate. I'm not going to pay $80 for a box to clutter up an hdmi input on my receiver when my pc is already ready to go. If i was unable to play link to the past or super metroid for the last 20+ years i could easily see nostalgia creeping up.
@winsord: I agree, pass the controller over either for this game or at least kiwami. Dan's inability/unwillingness to stop trying to button mash thru combat sequences is not serving anyone well. 30 hours in it does seem apparent he is not learning, and he doesn't sound like he is digging it.
