Is this the extent of your discussion? Ad hominem?

@beardyduck: Yeah her info was only posted by GG people on a GG board and she was only harassed by GG people. Totes unrelated

Anybody can go onto an anonymous board and dox people. Doesn't necessarily mean it's the intention of the movement to go out and send death threats to her. Like somebody said, blame the individual.

Thanks for finally saying something about gamergate, Patrick. I can't imagine keeping silent was doing any good. All it did was make us wonder why everyone was being silent.

Thanks to this post I now know 3 women were given serious death threats because of this really small, but loud group of people. I heard about the threats, but it's better to see them to see just how vile and real they were. It's like how I prefer to see the horrors of war on Al Jazeera un-blurred because it gives me proper context and helps form my opinions. Hiding that doesn't do anyone any good.

If I have any criticism of this post it's that you gave out the (now-banned) twitter username of that harasser. That gives them something to gloat about and/or makes them feel important.

In case you aren't aware, Brianna Wu's situation has nothing to do with GG, she's only trying to make it out to be. Patrick has also yet to acknowledge that pro-GG people (plenty of them women) have also been threatened and harassed.

@rorie These are some nice articles on reading up on some pro-GG issues.

http://gamesided.com/2014/10/13/solve-problem-like-gamergate/

http://www.nichegamer.net/2014/10/on-gamers-culture-and-gamergate/

In the comments section of the gamesided article it states the numerous names of pro-GG people that were harassed and sent death threats and yet weren't publicized compared to anti-GG people.

edit: Follow-up article to the gamesided article: http://gamesided.com/2014/10/14/my-open-letter-zoe-quinn-censorship-gaming-media/

If you're expecting a F.E.A.R. game (such as F.E.A.R. Combat), this is not the game for you. Although it uses F.E.A.R. 2 assets and the engine, they've somehow made it look a lot worse and made everything sluggish. Yes, there is a cash shop in the game. Yes, it is the typical F2P cash shop (boosts, better weapons, etc.).

First and foremost, the PvE, or as they call it, the Campaign, is a wave-based progression shooter with tons of bullet sponge enemies and constant ammo deficiency. They've tried to incorporate "horror" elements from the F.E.A.R. games (mutants, occasional bloody footprints, etc.) but it's all forced and really in your face. The PvP portion of the game is just your standard slog-fest and is way worse than the MP in F.E.A.R. and F.E.A.R. 2. If you've played any Korean F2P shooter (Pointblank, CrossFire, etc.) this is exactly that except slower.

TL;DR If you're expecting a F.E.A.R. Combat reboot, don't. It's much much worse.

Side note: If you want to go back and play F.E.A.R. Combat, fear not! Even though the GameSpy servers were shut down, the community has made their own master server list to continue hosting the game, and it's fairly active (Around 50~ of the same people) at peak hours.

If you have big hands, get a Logitech or a Deathadder. If you have small hands, get a Steelseries Sensei.

That's why you never trade keys/gifts first when trading for a code.

Original Half-Life because Valve was moving the CS servers from WON to Steam. Still have my 2003 account.

@extomar: A macro would be having a single button input the combination for spells on Invoker. Another would be a single button that would automatically cycle through each Meepo casting net.

@noitwont Except the whole reason why you need to invoke spells in the first place is the reason why Invoker has a high skill ceiling. If you take away that aspect of the hero you're literally making it "easy mode" without learning how to play him.
