Awesome! We need to see this type of policy across all digital game storefronts (especially Sony, who has the most egregious of customer support/policies).

I'd say that time limit should maybe an hour; that's long enough to get the gist of a game, see if it works, and probably not beat it (even shorter titles).

Cool, thanks for letting me know! Any idea on an ETA for a fix?

All of the premium podcasts are missing artwork when users input their credentials in the RSS URL, i.e.:

https://username:password@auth.www.giantbomb...

According to the forum post about this very thing:

http://www.giantbomb.com/forums/bombcast-32/premium-podcasts-cover-art-1764897/

The XML concerning the artwork path is getting truncated when credentials are used. Is there a specific URL prefix we should use for the premium feeds to avoid this? Or is this an issue with the RSS itself? Either way this is an unfortunate happening; lots of us are missing that fantastic art :)

Is this an issue with the feed, or with the podcast clients? I use Overcast on iOS and see no artwork for the premium feeds.

This sets a bad precedent for digital content. If you own something digitally, you should own it in perpetuity, even if it was free (unless it's tied to a service like PS+, where you're essentially renting the "free" games). You would never a situation where something physical was given away pro bono, and then the manufacturer later decides to go to people's homes and take them back. Let's hope this is just a server error in the U.S.

Also, you're better than this Konami. Or at least, you should be.

That's too bad; it was a good (not great) rewards program. Now the Deluxe Digital promotion, that was a hell of a rewards program!

A damn shame but understandably what is likely the most prudent, if not safest move. That louse who made the threats will get what's coming.

I'm with you here as well Patrick. I'd much rather have things for cheaper, and a library instantly accessible to myself, all the while whittling down on the amount of physical paraphernalia I have to keep around. Game preservation is getting more and more important (hell, I'm a graduate student, and one guy in my lab is getting his PhD in that very specific area!). Call me an optimist, but I don't think we'll suddenly one day not be able to play our older digital games if we so desired.
