This game was terrible. Basically a bad Star Fox clone. What made it even more terrible is that we had to play through it twice cause Cam forgot to press the record button. ARGHH!!!!

Not at all game related but I mentioned in a few posts that I was finishing up my BA in film studies and now I'm on the final stretch which is exams. I'm proud of getting done my final project for video production class which was screened in a packed auditorium amongst pretentious art films. I'm glad to say it killed!!

This is the first time we reviewed a kids game and a sports game. We made show history in one episode. I was surprisingly good at this game. Maybe because it was meant for kids. Anyways, once again we filmed 3 games in a row. One of them we had to redo because Cam forget to press record on the video. By the way, Cam presses record on his laptop and I press record on the Zoom mic. So far I have messed up twice and Cam once.

Two garbage games in a row. This game was total crap. I'm tempted in picking up a Kinect though because there seems to be a lot of Kinect shovelware type games at the supermarket. I picked up 3 more games that we have yet to film. I may take a short break once those are in the can since I will be graduating soon. Anyways, enjoy!

This game is awful. I'm really rushing to get these edits done as it is crunch time at school. I have one more game in the can then I hope to find time to record a few more to tie me over until exams. Enjoy and happy St. Paddy's weekend!

This game was good! I can't believe I never heard of it before. I was a day late finishing this video because I am busy working on my short film assignment for my production class...plus it's March madness with all the papers due in a few weeks. I graduate in April! YAY!!!

I am exhausted and will be even more sleep deprived as the weeks go by since I only have 5 weeks left before I graduate. I am getting senioritis aka burning out as the assignments start to pile up. I hope it doesn't show in the videos but I'm going to try my best to keep on truckin'. We have 3 more episodes in the can that I just need to find time to edit. I really wanted to like this game as I had found memories of the Genesis version. But alas, it sucked. We didn't have a lot of footage for this week since I forgot to format my SD card in the Zoom Mic before recording and it was full half way through. So the edit is a little shaky to me but overall ok.

Two apologies this week: one for being super late posting this week's episode as I'm sick with a bad sinus infection (blehhh) and the second for forgetting to take a photo of the production/gaming setup as I promised in last week's entry.

Anways, this week's game was Shadowrun for Xbox 360. I picked it up for $10 at the local Great Canadian Superstore. I was so relieved we found people playing online to be able to properly test out the game. Enjoy the episode and let me know if you have any questions or comments.

Just released the third episode of my weekly cheap games show and I have to admit reviewing good games aren't as fun. This episode was a challenge and it may be one of our weaker ones since the first half of the game is mainly cutscenes. However, the game's quality blew us away and both Cam and I did not expect such a gem for $10.

I highly recommending picking up this game if you can find it and I look forward to reading more about the game. I think in the future we will try to put more research in games opposed to cold plays. However, we already have the next 3 episodes in the can so hopefully in March Bargain Bin will be more educated than straight up going for the lawls.

I also wish I had more time to put into fixing the audio levels as they jump around at places. This could be easily corrected during recordings if I paid more attention. Next time I will remember to bring my headphones to do some live monitoring.
