I'd say that the game doesn't so much get easier, but you get better, it's all about you and how skillful you are in Dark Souls, i've beaten the game at level 1 as a Pyro, i found it far easier than on my first playthrough where i ended up in the 80s, i think that most of the hard parts are getting to the bosses in the first place and the environments anyway.

Also the Drake sword won't get you much further, investing in an upgraded regualer weapon once you have the large ember from the Depths is better in my opinion.

I'm fairly sure that the Stray Demon is magic damage not fire, regardless the Dragon Crest Shield can be found next to the undead dragon in Valley of the Drakes, take the elevator down from where the Firekeeper is in firelink and then turn right into a similar tower to the one you come out of, at the top of the stairs is a door, if you have the master key you can open it and take the wooden plank over to the other side, then go left along of the cliff and over another bridge, the dragon is asleep and will wake up when you either loot the items next to it or attack it, it's pretty easy to loot then roll back the way you came to avoid it, if you don't have the master key you need to go to Darkroot Garden and get down to where the Bacl Knight is (next to the stamina regen shield) and there is a cave which takes you to the valley from the other end.

Regardless, you need to dodge that attack by staying to the side (i suggest running around to the right all the time), get behind him and wail on him.

I got it on my first playthrough, but on my other characers i just upgraded a regaular weapon to +10 then lightning as fast as i could, really isn't needed when you know what you're doing.

I killed her the first time i went there, on NG+ and other characers i don't bother though, unless you are a heavy Dex character there really isn't much point.

To be honest with you, a lightning weapon will be much better than anything based on your stats until you are at an much higher level than you need to be you finish the game comfortably, my advice would be to get it to +10 then upgrade it to lightning when you get to the giant blacksmith later, as for a Faith build i can't help you, i'v enot played with Faith really yet, however if you get 20 Faith then help at least 6 people beat bosses you can meet the requirements to join the Warriors of Sunlight, that gets you Lightning Spear, which is pretty bad ass, then at 30 Faith you can get the more power version aswell.

I've done this fight a few times including on new game plus, the best way to fight is this in my opinion, if you are a mage/ranged fighter then take out Ornstein first, if you're Melee/Pyro then kill Smough, when the other is super powered their stay away and nuke smough (avoid hitting the hammer with spells as it doesn't take damage) and for Ornstein stay right between his legs unless he jumps up to do hte body slam/shockwave, personally i'd always kill Smough first and fight Super Ornstein as A) It's easier and B) you can then get his armor from the vendor near firelink (where you get the ring of sacrifice), and his armor is very good and doesn't weight a ton like some of the other heavier sets, and I managed to beat them this way at level 1 as a Pyromancer :P.

40 hours in, i have learned that if stabbing doesn't work burning does.

Also, bigger shield = more win.

I do not want to play a shooter using that controller thanks.

Edit: That actually goes for both, Uncharted looked fiddly as hell and the Wii U controller is leagues inferior to the 360 gamepad.

Should have been on the PC, now it's going to get next to none of the EVE audience interested and get crushed under the dozens on consoles FPS games released on a monthly basis.
