Warmed my heart to see Brad linger on the Wild ARMs intro, that song/clip is one of my strongest PS1 memories (and the game itself, also pretty damn good).
That's actually what I'd want most from a PS1 collection, some of those old, not-FF RPGs--besides Wild ARMs 1, Legend of Legaia, Legend of Dragoon, and Jade Cocoon all spring to mind.
Oh man, hearing the Clayfighters announcer again (and Blue Suede's super great voice samples) activated some deep-buried memories. I played way too much of that stupid game
Anyway, wow, Doomsday Warrior. I rented that a whole bunch, super happy to see it undergo scientific review. Some of the character designs and the weird throws-that-are-kinda-supers mechanic have really stuck with me, though at the end of the day its scientifically determined position on the list is pretty dead-on.
Great QL, love to see the crew all getting super into it. And 100% agreed with Dan on how satisfying the look/feel of the machines doing their work is.
