The Series S will probably be on parity graphics-wise early in the gen at 1080p vs same settings at 4k for the X. If they can price it $100-200 lower than PS5 discless version it will help them get an early sales lead.

I feel like mid-to-late gen, 3+ years into the cycle, the lower baseline RAM and maybe CPU will hold back Series X/S titles once devs max out usage of those resources for things other than pixel count and textures in games designed solely for new gen (i.e. larger world size, higher quality animation/sound, better AI systems, etc). They’re deciding to make a trade off between early market share and later game quality.

@chocchipcamofan: Apparently it’s $259 starting tonight for a One S including RDR2 or $459 for One X + RDR2. I don’t think that works with the PS4 trade in for $250 though? There’s bound to be as good or better deals on BF.

XBONE X is $500 from Gamestop with no deals though, meaning you’ll pay $250 on top of your trade-in.

You’ll probably be able to pick up a One S for $250 or less on black Friday. Is 4K worth the same to you as being able to keep your PS4?

I use Downcast to watch videos using the Premium RSS All Videos feed.

On days where a bunch of trailers are dumped onto the site like today, they push out all the original content so a video uploaded an hour or two ago never makes it into the version of the feed that was polled by the app.

An alternate solution would be to have an “All Videos minus Trailers” feed.

@tuxedocruise Why would Twitch promote them if they don't make any money for Twitch? I haven't seen any promotion but it might be there.

They could switch to being affiliate and get most of the benefits. Although yeah, since they have Premium, Twitch subs are redundant. Not sure if the potential to get a bunch of additional revenue from Prime free subs would be worth having to pay more attention to the Twitch side of things.

@tuxedocruise : What benefits does GB get from being a partner if they turn off subs and chat? It's not like they need the VOD storage.

And as a partner they already simul-stream to Twitch, their own site, and youtube sometimes anyways so are they breaking the Twitch partnership agreement already?

Can't you have subs on Twitch without being partnered? Will Smith simul-streams on Twitch/YouTube/Mixer and he has subs on Twitch.

Y'all are forgetting that Drew still lives in San Francisco, which is now the most expensive city in the US. A 1 bedroom apartment is $3,000+ per month. Living comfortably with all expenses will cost $7-8k pre-tax alone, only after that can you account for the travel and equipment costs.

Could he do it with less? Sure, but why should he have to rather than putting more focus on his projects? Support the Patreon based on if you like the content he produces, not based on how much you think his total should be.
