Just thought it was about time I actually got my blog on again; I've been busy with this, that and the other (including the design for that new hoodie) and have really missed spewing a slab of inconsequential text onto the internet. I've been re-watching one of my favourite so-awful-it-is-awesome films, Future Cops, and I'm going to write up an in-depth look at its particular brand(s) of lawyer-baiting entertainment.

In the interim, however, here are some pictures of where I sit until stupidly early hours of the morning. I moved into my new house a few months ago, and I've still not tidied up all the cords that snake through and around this monument to our favourite pastime. But it's not in such bad shape that I'm ashamed to show you what's going on in this part of my lounge room. I'm a sucker for playing old games on the consoles that they came out on, and as such have had to purchase and jerry-rig a few extra cords to make things look better on my screen.

Other than that, decent setup.  I wouldn't have my 360 in there, but to each their own...

There's no such thing as too much Borderlands!
 
And yeah, I know what you mean about the 360. It has crossed my mind on several occasions to put it somewhere with a bit more ventilation. But it seems fine in there as long as you don't close the door. I did that once and hooboy, it was a freakin' kiln in there. No matter if it red rings, though - it's not like I haven't got other stuff to play for the fortnight my 360 would be out of action!

Very sweet, got a style of class to it. My consoles are littered all over the place with enough wires stretching around to make it look like Houston =P

Very clean, I like it. My rig is very crammed and messy. I need to look into an adapter to see if I can get my old N64 hooked up to my newer T.V..

It's one of those Retro Duo combined consoles that came out. I got sick of the way things used to be in the cabinet with both an NES and a SNES in there, so I stashed the originals and bought one of those wee beasties to play in their stead. It's supposed to have the occasional compatibility issues, but I've never had it crop up. It's also got some S-Video action going for it!

Not pictured: 3 other Mega Drives, Mega CD, SNES, 2 NES, Vectrex, 2 Nomads, Intellivision, Colecovision, Master System, Atari 2600, Atari 5200, my KISS pinball machine and a bunch of other consoles and handhelds I can't remember. Christ, I miss collecting shit... *sniffle*

Wow, your set up is so clean.  Mine is much more of a mish-mash of consoles, amplifiers, satellite receivers, dvd players, and stacks of game, movie, and cd cases plus I usually toss my mail in the general area, too.  It's a much more cluttered mess.  I admire your tidiness.

The funny thing about all these comments about how tidy I am is that this and my drawers full of games are the only places where I'm a neat individual. Well, that's not as true as it was now that I've got my own place - you truly do gain some pride when a house is actually yours / the bank's. But I digress.

If you could see my desk right now, cluttered as it is with unfiled papers and empty drink cans, you'd be witnessing my true self. I should show my girlfriend all your kind comments - I'm sure she'd find them amusing and encouraging.

I like that the only console on show is the Wii. None of those other consoles look good so it's the right choice.

Quite funny how you have the Wii for everyone to see and people might be interested in it (non-gamers) or if any hardcore gamers come in and tell you it's stupid only to have a Wii you just open the doors XD
