I'm with you -- I feel like the sense of community on the site has dwindled significantly in the past couple years and I miss the crap out of the quest system. @vizjerie: Indie games are awesome -- spread some of the love around and tell your friends about them. Tell them to watch Indie Game: The Movie. There's nothing wrong with letting people who might be unaware of indie games that there's lots out there beyond the usual. It's always good to support what you've enjoyed through praise and recommendations.
Spring Breakers is pretty amazing. That Britney Spears sing along. Whew. Regardless of what's going on in the plot, its dream-like quality is very interesting. It's gorgeous to look at and the music is really good. Style over substance for sure.
I was about 14 when Kids came out. I didn't like it then, and I just watched it recently and it was even more difficult to watch now. It makes me horribly uncomfortable. One of my girlfriends growing up, who spent a lot of time in our town's skate culture still cites it as one of her favourite films of all time.
You can also get Persona 3: FES and Persona 4 on PSN, which is where I'd recommend starting. I played Lost Odyssey pretty recently and I don't think it's aged very well at all. If you like more action-oriented combat, any of the three Tales games on Gen 7 consoles are a good choice: Vesperia, Xillia and Graces F. Vesperia is often quite highly regarded, but it's combat is slower and a little more tactical than the others, where Xillia and Graces are much faster.
