@PenguinDust: Take it easy. I don't think the moderators aproves of all of these sexist mods (I actually know they don't)... I use them a lot, but c'mon.

Here's a few screenshots from my mod batch (just for funsies). If you think I can improve on anything, tell me (and also tell me how, preferably).

@Christoffer: Well I'm no game designer so I can't speak to that, but I would ask what difficulty level are you playing at? Also how did you build and are you using unique items and a set of crafted and enchanted armor? I think once you get to that point it wasn't meant to be balanced. It seems to play more like Saints Row 3 end game - stupidly overpowered so you can just do whatever you feel like. I don't think that's necessarily bad.

I found that playing thru on Master level started out fairly hard especially if you didn't play optimally but leveled off to something I would call "medium" at about level 20. That's without powering thru enchanting and blacksmithing early-on.

I'm playing at expert. I stagger enemies with dual lightning and let my companions and sumons do the rest. The secret is to stay away from the battle, then you will never die.

I don't think this has anything to do with feeling overempowered... it's just dull.

I enjoyed the podcasts. Although they ultimately made me want to buy Shadow of the Damned and a bunch of other games :P So it had the intended effect I guess.

Did anyone have thoughts on Jeff's argument that he kept encountering the same end-bosses in each dungeon? I haven't experienced this. I see a lot of frost casters but almost as much electricity and some fire too. Also some meleers. I'm built mana/health, conjuration/destruction with some medium sneak and 1-handed levels. I kill almost exclusively using dual-lightning and summons. sometimes I dagger backstab for the hell of it. Maybe it's an issue with melee-only builds?

Skyrim is not balanced at all and it's not all due to the countermeasures Jeff is talking about. Personally, I can't tell a "boss" from anyone else given all my buffs and summons I throw out... is that good game design?

There you go. I've answered all your questions.

I have 252 hours played in TF2 and I feel no need to buy any item. If Valve can make more money from micro transactions, go for it, but I don't care.

I agree, it's a war of attrition and I think it could've gone either way in the end. Brad is a great guy but seem to be a bit blinded by some elements while other slips pass him. And sometime he doesn't seem to listen to reason at all. He's an fullblood debater, for better or worse.

Art is design without a function. It's something created by a person, for the sole reason of expression. If it is useful to someone in their life, it is design and no longer art.

I'm a designer...can you tell?

But art could be implemented in "design", could it not? Take a look at this logo, what does the cut in the center mean?

Please tell me that it's a hilariously awful pun.

"a cut above the s"

"a cut above the rest"

What? No... I actually don't know why that cut is there. It's been eating me since I first saw this stupid logo.

Skyrim 4GB - http://skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=3211. Plenty of tweaks and mods rely on you having this mod.

Bethesda officially added the Large Address Aware flag to the exe in the last patch. As far as I know it makes this mod and others like it obsolete.

One I find very interesting you sell dragon souls for perks. A really good way of allowing yourself more of the perks without straight up cheating.

I like to use ones that makes all horses, dogs and companions essential so they can't die (separate mods, of course).

That's good to know, I've been using this since it first came out to prevent constant crashes. But if it's obsolete now, I'm happy.

SkyUI - http://skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=3863. Makes your inventory usable.

Skyrim 4GB - http://skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=3211. Plenty of tweaks and mods rely on you having this mod.

An FFXA Injector of your liking (if it doesn't screw up your performance) - http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=453

TESV Acceleration Layer - http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=4387.This will help your framerate in some areas.

FPS Limiter - http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=34.This will make your FPS rate more stable.

No more blocky faces - http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=30. If you like good character models, this is a must.

Skyrim HD - 2K textures - http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=607. I know there's plenty of HD mods out there, follow the ones you think are interesting.

I would also recomend reading this article on tweaking http://uk.geforce.com/optimise/guides/the-elder-scrolls-v-skyrim-tweak-guide. I've made it to look quite awesome and thanks to this article, I know what the hell I'm doing.

There's a lot of other mods to fiddle with, but these are amongst the important ones in my opinion.

I loved Bastion from start to finish but don't sweat it. You don't need to love and play every critics darling out there.

Personally I liked the story and the narrative and found the gameplay to be old school "challenge myself" -fun (as in something like Gradius or Tetris). If you ever find 8 hours to burn, give a shot.
