Cold ketchup is best, it cools down hot food.
I'm unaware of a case of food poisoning from ketchup and i don't care if it's been left out, it often stays out in the staff canteen at work but it's not hanging around for weeks, you wouldn't want mould to grow in it obviously.

People need to know that learning to play the guitar isn't rocket science, some people take to it better than others of course, but i feel like one day of just noodling around breaks down a lot of the perceived difficulty.
I always compare it to learning a 10 hit combo in Tekken, you're just finding out either through tabs or videos where to put your fingers and repeating it till you remember. Note that that's just my level of guitar playing, learning my favourite songs as a hobby, learning theory, chords, scales, whatever else with a goal of being an actual guitar player who plays 8 hours a day, lessons are probably for you, if you just want to be a cool rock player go for it.

They really need to nail every aspect of a VF5 re-release if it's going to succeed at all, it needs to have great netcode and cross play. New fighting games are always missing features, they lack in characters, stages, online features but they get a pass because they're new and exciting which is fine, VF5 (on console) is 14 years old, they promoted it with a focus on esports which in a pandemic world means playing online so it HAS to be good online, especially because all the other studios are FINALLY getting it right, and if you want to foster a community for a 14 year old game i think cross play is basically a requirement.
I'm the PC guy so i have to bring this up, PC didn't have a 3D fighting game for an absurd amount of time and Sega absolutely missed the extremely large window to own that platform.
SF4 brought fighting games back into the spotlight in 2008, Sega re-released VF5 in 2012 for consoles only, DOA5 finally brought a 3D fighter to PC in 2015 with one of the worst ports i've ever seen, then Tekken 7 became the platform's only valid option in 2017 and has enjoyed a very active community for nearly 4 years. Sega had 10 years to put VF5 on PC and claim the platform so i'll say it again, if this version is even coming to PC, if they want to do this now, now that there is actually competition on the platform, they better put the work in and do it right, Tekken 7 doesn't have excellent netcode or cross play, that's what VF5 needs to compete, if they mess this up i'll be amazed.

I feel like maybe there's a growing number of people who feel like Jeff about Tomb Raider, yeah there's always going to be people who instantly hate how it controls, but there's plenty of Youtube documentaries asking whether it's worth revisiting and the answer is usually yes.
Everything about it is specialised, mostly due to necessity, there were few genre expectations back then so almost everything about how it controls is unique to those PS1 Tomb Raider games, so if you want to explore large PS1 tombs using a unique and demanding movement system that requires time and patience, you can't really look anywhere else.
My opinion of the PS1 entires after having played them over the last couple of years.
1: Very good, by virtue of being the first it's the most "pure" or "distilled", it's the template.
2: Maybe the high point of all the PS1 games, flashier and longer than the first, but human enemies can be annoying and some of the new level design ideas are difficult, not impossible but you will get stuck.
3: Questionably difficult, similar in scope to the 2nd, but i found the level designs far too large and impossible to navigate without a walkthrough, i saw reviews at the time suggesting not many would be able to finish the game, and to me that's a big negative, i think the devs were giving up.
4: Better than 3, but the game takes place entirely in Egypt and 17+ hours of sand is extremely tedious, it's so boring to look at.
5: Part of me wants to like it more because of its variety, but the combat encounters are haphazard and it's quite buggy, it doesn't really do anything unique compared to the others, it feels like dlc for 4 for people who want to see something other than sand.

Here's the thing Jeff most of us are "overweight", the ideal human is running around chasing animals, hunting, gathering, fighting, building, eating a quarter of what we eat now.

@larmer: I feel the same except the covid life is how i was living by choice anyway, so absolutely nothing has changed, except now i have even more reasons not to socialise and it's been great.

As a 90's/00's kid i have a really hard time placing Metallica, hearing someone say they are influencial sounds like it makes sense but i don't think i've heard any band and thought "there's a Metallica influence right there", maybe that means they're unique but i wouldn't call their sound particularly groundbreaking, for me they were the band that always came up on music tv you had to wait for the song to end to hear the good music again.
If they influenced bands in the 80's then that's what i missed, maybe they were doing something unique and powerful back then, but it's super hard to see it now.
