I was excited yesterday, but time has a way of changing that. I'm left scratching my head a little. Questions are starting to pop up in my head. Like this one, why would CBSi buy a video game website and put it in the same building as its competitor?
 
Which leads only to more questions. Can Giant Bomb coexist with Gamespot as its sister site? In a few years time, will Giant Bomb eventually be absorbed into Gamespot? 
 
Gamespot is still wildly popular with a large amount of site traffic. How could they not want the Giant Bomb personalities for their own. I feel like there is more to this then what is being stated. Sure Giant Bomb will exist as is with some small changes here and there, but what if this is just a buffer phase? Could you imagine the upheaval if Giant Bomb stated, hey, we are now Gamespot and Gamespot is now Giant Bomb?
 
Maybe it's the way that other company changed Tested already or maybe I'm just being paranoid. But when you see a video of Vinny checking his telephone messages from his old job as if he had just taken a long vacation, it makes you wonder.
 
If Giant Bomb gets a cursing filter on their forums, this Other Motherfucker will be pissed.

i'm not worried in the least for Giant Bomb considering they were bought by another company and the guys seem pretty excited about the new changes going down. i completely trust them when they say that nothing is going to drastically change. they said that when they introduced subscriptions, and they're saying it now.

i guess it doesn't help that this community isn't too fond of change. i can see why they would be afraid of it, but i think we just need to relax and see where they're going with this. we just need to trust 'em for a bit.

the Tested stuff is pretty messed up, but it's completely understandable considering how big Mythbusters is along with Adam and Jamie. no one as of right now is going to be there to overshadow the Giant Bomb crew, so i don't think we have anything to worry about it. i don't like the Tested changes that much either, but it makes sense and i'm hoping that Will and Norm have a great time working (hopefully) side-by-side with the Mythbusters guys.

@Claude: What about the reason of CBSi owning more of that beautiful videogame-websites pie chart? Seems a good reason to me.

I was confused yesterday, until I watched the two videos with Jeff, then I calmed down a little and today I felt everything was going to be okay since the guys all seem so happy, but damn, I just looked at the Tested site, and I am horrified.

I just hope there isn't too much cross over between GameSpot. I haven't been back there since everything went down and honestly, I don't care about any of them that are there now and I don't want to. I don't want them on the Bombcast, I don't want to read their articles, Giant Bomb is about almost having a personal connection to the guys. I guess we'll see what happens.
