So far my favorite album has been All Delighted People from Sufjan. I haven't gotten a chance to listen to The Age of Adz (except for I Walked and Too Much Love) enough to make an objective  judgement on it.

I spend most of the year listening to older albums by artists I recently discovered / got into. Except for the hits you hear everywhere, I haven't listened to more than like three albums released this year.

I'm not too nostalgic because systems like Steam are so much more convenient than having to deal with physical media. It's the same reason I wasn't crushed when Newegg pwned CompUSA.

Interesting find. I'm going to try to get my hands on The Devil and Daniel Johnston.

In music there's a pretty thin line (or a huge overlap) between style and substance. I think the image of Elvis, Bob Dylan, The Beatles and Frank Sinatra probably had more to do with what made them special than their raw musical talent (which isn't to say they weren't talented).

So yeah, awesome stuff. On an unrelated note I'm a big fan of St. Vincent (did you see her playing with Andrew Bird recently?  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FoVZ4jNE0Ws )

This quote came up unsourced from a known-to-be-unreliable Bieber fan site. I don't buy it.

Great blog entry. I've been thinking about this a lot lately.

A couple of years after it came out I got Harvest Moon: Back to Nature and was completely obsessed with it. Although I usually call it one of my favorite games, the truth is when I was playing it, it almost felt more like an empty addiction than something I was playing for "fun". It's the same reason I disabled my Facebook account.

I used to spend a lot of time on Facebook so I disabled my account about 3 months ago.  I don't regret it.

A few hours of heavy drinking leads to a lot of eating. That's when food tastes the best.

Check out King of Kong. It's an awesome documentary about two guys competing for the Donkey Kong world record.

There are so many games I love, it's hard to choose just one.

I guess: Grandia.

That's an interesting point, I've never really thought about that.

They probably think it will help the games sell better, at least in the West, and maybe in Asia too just. Maybe they think the game design will appeal to more people in the West. I don't think either of those things are true, but its all I can think of.
