@Cubical: Sony advertises this at people living in dorm rooms. It's targeted at a younger audience without a lot of money. In a sense, Sony wants to get teenagers and college students to have their foot in the door for when they have more income and can buy a larger 3D display. And since Sony is in the business of selling larger monitors, this makes a lot of sense.

@wwfundertaker: I hope so. After playing the 60 minute trial a few days ago, I'd really like to be playing more of that soon.

I'm not as familiar with the first office, but I did really like the second one because of all the crossover from other Whiskey sites. I like what I've seen so far in the CBSi office, though they do need to jazz it up a bit more. They did have to cover PAX and E3 and have clearly been busy. I'm thinking this new office will eventually be as good, if not better than the previous one.

I enjoyed it. Starbreeze almost always has some interesting mechanics going on in their games. That and a good sense of immersion. I may return to playing it again sometime soon.

Anybody reccomend me Max Payne or Dead Space

Both are worth it. Dead Space for the iPad is fantastic though.

I was looking under the Gaming Sites section of the crew board in the Social Club and noticed that Giant Bomb has no representation among its peers. What would it take to get an official crew up an running for that leader board?

@whyareyoucrouchingspock: A sensationalist response still isn't a convincing one. I see what you're saying, and understand that you miss this type of game. But it's not like it completely doesn't exist anymore. Quake had no story beyond a generic reason to justify shooting things. There was no dialog, no characters, nothing important. It served a skill in that it was a good test of reaction time, but there is no comparison to what a lot of modern shooters are doing. I'll agree with you that Call of Duty has become stale, but it's largely because the studios developing them aren't really taking more risks. But it's the fact that there are so many more games out there than just that. Tutorials, while sometimes being kind of annoying, server a purpose now more than ever because there is much more to do in modern games. Not to mention the fact that almost every game allows you to disable them. I loved playing Unreal Tournament, Counter-Strike, etc as much as the next guy, but there's a time and a place for those games. And they do still exist. You're just nitpicking specifics and splitting hairs.

I think it is rather naive that you make the assumption that PC FPS games would not have followed the same development path. The truth is, the entire gaming industry has changed a lot and will continue to change for the foreseeable future. This is not specifically the fault of any one thing, but because of many different factors. Accessibility, broadband, mobile phones, consoles, etc. Do not forget that the gaming industry is a business. It was not created only to serve your personal opinion. The fact that many people are now playing games more than they ever have been in the past means that things are going to evolve. And it appears that you've made it clear that it's time to jump ship. But I think you're overlooking the fact that games are much more vastly complex than they were in the past. First person shooters in particular. The incentives for experience and point systems, as long as they aren't monetarily exploited, only serve to build a sustainable community. Examples of this are seen in games like Battlefield 3, which actively reward you for not playing as just a lone wolf in ways past team based shooters did rather poorly.

I think you're missing the complexity of many modern shooters by holding them to the simplistic standards of the genre's beginning. It's so easy to be nostalgic about things, but often times more rewarding to actually give something new a chance.

While it has always been hard for me to personally be offended by just about anything, you get a lot of respect from me for owning up to this Ryan. Especially immediately after it happened. It was very apparent during the livestream that you knew you said something you shouldn't have. And even through Brad joking about losing your jobs, your silence said a lot about how your behavior made you feel.

There are many within the LGBT community that likely feel the same way I do, that they are just undirected words without specific context and as a result, a lessened effect. But I give you a lot of credit for personally expressing yourself to those who think differently than I do. This community would not exist without personalities like yours, and we know you have the utmost respect for us. You guys make that apparent in every video and for that, a minor slip up like this will be overlooked in the long run. Keep up the good work, I know I'm looking forward to my daily long form video content for some time to come now.

Also, do more lantern runs. The ending of that stream was hilarious. I couldn't tell what or who was being beat up in frustration.

Wasps. They are practically useless. Spiders at least kill a lot of different kinds of bugs. They also generally leave you alone. Wasps just want to fuck things up.
