Yes. I felt the campaign alone was worth $60 when I bought it week of release. Great set pieces, great moments. When the community imploded because it wasn't designed for them to play every hour of every day all I could do was shake my head in disbelief. It's so much better than D1.

At first I thought you meant 14 total defense, not 14 per piece of gear and I thought you were running around naked. Still, 14 per piece is too low, even without upgrading armor pieces with armor spheres, you should be forging new gear from more recent monsters that are giving you 20+ armor. Do bounties to get armor spheres, they refresh every time you do a quest. Do investigations to farm for more monster pieces to craft the gear you need.

EDIT: I just realized you said you're 12 hours in. Do you need to be killing Diablos for a quest or you just wanting to do it for fun? Just because you see a monster doesn't mean you have to kill it. If you haven't been told to kill, say, an Anjanath for a story quest, it's definitely too early to be going after Diablos, unless you're a real stud at MonHun.

@sweep:Ah, sorry about that. Main reason I set up this post asking was in fear of some methods of contact seeming like an ad for the game. Thanks for removing the link instead of the thread altogether!

@cagliostro88 Ha, I'll never be in a place financially to be able to invest in stuff on Fig. No, I had never heard of this game until Steve Gaynor tweeted about it a while back--patiently waited for it to go on Vinny's radar, but alas. Then I forgot about it until I saw Austin tweet at Vinny about Opus Magnum and I was like "No wait he should play this first." Honestly surprised haven't seen Austin talk about this game either--think it's the same musician that did the Brigador soundtrack.

I just realized I'm a moron and picked the literal worst week to bring this up because Vinny's out on vacation. I'm not gonna bug him on any platform until he's back at work. Also I considered the postcard thing but I'd hate to turn the kiss-on-the-cheek thing into a request platform or, even worse, make it seem like an advert for the game. I'll wait until he's back at work and then maybe shoot him a tweet or email

Trackless is an atmospheric first-person exploration and puzzle game set in the distant future. Inspired by classic games like Zork, Shadowgate, and King’s Quest, Trackless uses text input that allows you to interact with characters and objects.

The art style and gameplay of this game looks right up his alley, I think it'd be a great playdate game, but not sure best way to point him towards it. In the live chat of another stream? E-mail to the beastcast? Twitter?

EDIT: Fixed typo in the title

I like the postcard section. It's endearing and I like finding out where some listeners are from.

This is absolutely amazing, and I would love if someone with amazing video editing skills could cut this with footage from the series.

What I'm learning in this thread is that people consider 3D models of people that are unconventionally attractive to be bad 3D models. Ugly humans want to explore space too, ya know.

Red Dead Revolver was a shitty game that sold less than a million copies. They named it Redemption to separate itself from Revolver's troubled game's production and reception (and because they had nothing in common). Red Dead Redemption sold over 10x as many copies and is considered one of the best games from that generation. Of course they'd just put a 2 on the end of it.

My first thought was King of Dragons but that was also on a console so you got me.
