I would like to thank the people at Nerd Balloon for making me feel old this week with this video of some punk kid playing Contra and hating it.
Damn kid! Halo 3 and Call of Duty: World at War aren't the only good games on the planet.
As someone who grew up playing games like Contra, it's easy for me to recognize the game's greatness when looking at it from rose-tinted nostalgia goggles, but there are a lot of young whippersnappers just can't get past the 8-bit graphics and the lack of blood and gore. Wait... why is this 11 year old kid playing M-rated games in the first place? Well anyway, I guess that's just the generation gap rearing its ugly head.
Now then, it's now 30 minutes past my birthday so it's time to say toot-a-loo for now.
