Who knew Iwata can do interviews?

If you can call it an interview. Satoru Iwata and Shigeru Miyamoto have known each other for years and this "interview" is less interview and more "shooting the shit." Yet a lot of interesting stuff came out of this episode of Iwata Asks.
- Donkey Kong was originally going to star Popeye. To think we'd all be playing New Super Popeye Bros. Wii right about now.
- Mario could have also been called Mr. Video. Super Mr. Video Galaxy 2 coming in 2010?
- Thank the Wii's graphical processing power for the 4 player co-op in New Super Mario Bros. Wii. I guess 6 player online multiplayer would be plausible on the 360.
- Mario games should have a "smell" to it. Seriously, a smell.
There's a lot to read and I don't have the attention span to read every bit, but some interesting stuff came out in this interview. I can imagine that in some alternate universe there is a series of Mr. Video games.
