I actually wrote to my Member of Parliament about this. Canada is clearly not exporting its rich culture hard enough if people from nocal don't know how to properly pronounce degrassi.

I just like what could be an adult discussion about adult issues in a medium that's typically written off as childish non-sense.

What I don't like is everyone flailing their arms about wildly and shouting down the topic.

@darji: I don't think that's very true.

I have no idea what's up with Anita Sarkeesian (I've never watched any of her videos), but sometimes feminists can be silly, too. And, if that is in fact what she thinks she's not very good at feminism. Nudity=/=sex or sexualization. Nudity can serve a purpose. It's the absence of any purpose other than "check out this girl's tits" that can be offensive to sex negative feminists or whatev which I think is completely valid.

It sounds weird, but I like that we can have these kind of conversations about vidya games now. It's like video games are growing up.
