I had a revelation last night, the bucks should just make a shirt that says "I was sued by a giant wrestling company and all I got was this Young Bucks merch" Then (assuming there not takingthis dumb thing to court), act like the did and lost on BTE.

@cornfed40: Thanks for answering the legalese questions :D

@ho_blivion:I mean they took Cena and Miz off of that show and put the title on fucking Jinder, what did they think was going to happen. WWE has Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens, Shinsuke Nakamura, and AJ styles and they have managed to make me not give a fuck about any of them... good job.

The fact that Owens and AJ weren't feuding over the WWE title, with AJ being the face of the show is staggering and stupid to me. Why take the title off AJ and give it to Jinder? Give it back to AJ until he retires in like, a year or two. He's being wasted.

@cornfed40: So in theory all someone would have to do to dispute the WWE claim on the hand sign is prove someone else did it first?

How about that CZW match in the middle of my lucha underground last night.

@blackblade500: Meltzer said the exact same thing, they only filed that copyright after they signed Balor and the Club who were using it in NJPW. He was of the opinion that WWE probably dosnt have a leg to stand on but its probably not worth it for the bucks to actually sue them... (which is why the bucks totally probably would.)

Legality wise, protection would date back to whenever the copyrighted "thing" was first used/produced/published. So it doesn't really matter if someone was using it before the copyright claim was made, if the copyright owner could prove that they were using/ had used it first. In other words, the filing date of the claim really doesn't mean squat, if the "publication" date precedes it. WWE wins, Bucks lose. That being said, its a stupid hand sign, and is deffinately not worth the time and money to do anything past sending a couple of C&D letters.

I mean this is the bucks were talking about, chances are there just going to make some new gimmicked shirt from this and move on. There nothing if not quick thinkers, since you seem to be somewhat up on legalese, do you know if a college using that hand sign years before WWE would allow the college to dispute the copyright?

Fozzy is on the front page and front cover of the entertainment section of my local newspaper...

So I may be miss remembering this but does WWE have legal standing to copyright the 2sweet hand sign? If I recall correctly there is a college that has been doing it since LONG before the nWo made it a thing.I want to say it was UConn or something.

So 12 rounds 3 was randomly on TV the other day and I hit the info button to make sure it was the Dean Ambrose one that I thought it was... Does it bother anyone else that all of these wrestlers are only credited as there wrestling persona's and not there actual names? Super dosnt matter just a weird thing I noticed.

@bobobones: Is it maybe how nihilistic the show is? I personally am really enjoying this season, though every time it comes up in conversation I always point out that it is 100% not a show that everyone will like. (and I dont mean that in the shitty "you have to be smart to get it" way)

@roomrunner: See that is the thing I think Enzo is overlooking with this whole angle. Kurt is the GM of RAW... he has fuck all say on 205 Live.

@kingpk:Wait... Asuka and Rusev share a birthday? :andre

Its funny to watch people on wreddit say "oh they just gave roman everything they gave stone cold!" completely ignoring the part where you know... stone cold was super fucking over before he got everything.

@dizzyhippos: because nothing matters before asuka

They could legit have her beat brock in 20 seconds and I would completely belive it. Also Asuka is 36 today.
