With it's incredible visuals, pick-up and play concept, and amazingly crafted co-op, Borderlands is a game that fits perfectly in the 360 disc tray in-between everything else you play.

With it's interesting controls, impressive use of the Wii's hardware, and incredible audio, SIlent Hill manages to overwhelm you with atmosphere like the best of them. Along the way, each of the developers decisions come together to provide you a terrifyingly terrific experience.

Taking cues from the Metroid Prime series, Batman not only breaks the cycle of bad Batman games, but goes even further to be one of the best games this year.

Four player mayhem or single-player fun, it may not be the best Mario game ever, but that doesn't mean it isn't damned entertaining. And it is the best multi-player Mario game out there. (Personal note: best played with you and a loved one or best friend. Not too chaotic, and still an absolute blast)

Wii Sports Resort reminds you of those honeymoon days with the Wii 3 years ago. Not everything about it is great, but the things that work do so in a way that keeps you satisfied.

Likely to be forgotten by everyone, Rhythm Heaven is the best music game to come out this year if nothing else than for it's complete originality and fruitful style. Anyone who is a fan of original music or expanding your horizons should definitely check this game out.

Now that this game is out, there's no reason Konami can't put out a big, bad 2D Castlevania out on a console. Same thing with Metroid, Nintendo. It might not be quite as good as the games it clearly borrows from, but it also manages to be it's own game and be incredibly good nevertheless.

Despite the fact that yes, it is just a remix of the Pearl/Diamond games, it's still not "just another Pokemon game." Platinum packs the series with more features than it's ever seen before, and it's still one of the best pick-up-and-play RPG's on the market with tons for you to do.
