So, stuff that's happened since the last blog

I'm kinda bored right now, so I've decided to write a new blog. Anyway, despite most people voting on Fallout 3 in my last blog, I got Gears 2, mostly because my XBL friends wanted me to play with them. It turned out to be a good choice, because I love the game. I've already beaten it on Insane, and I thought I had beaten the entire game on co-op, but it turns out I haven't. Being somewhat of an achievement whore, I've struggled to remember which chapters possibly couldn't have registered, to no avail. I'll likely have to go through the entire campaing for a third time. If anyone needs an Insane achievement and wants to go through the entire campaing with me, do ask, I'll gladly help.

I haven't suffered through the matchmaking yet, simply played private games with friends, which is great fun, even with bots involved. I also played Fallout 3 at a friend's house, and while it was fun, it further confirmed buying Gears 2 over it was a good decision. I've also uploaded two reviews; for Burnout Paradise, and Gears 2. Please read them and them offer me advice on how to improve my reviews, for I realize these really suck lol. Oh yeah, and Horde is awesome, badass, mindblowing. Favorite game mode in the entire game for me.

So, bottom line of the blog, if you wanna go co-op campaign with me, the entire campaign, message me or something. I'm dudacles17 on XBL. I'll play on Casual.

Later guys.

So I'm completely torn, help me decide guys

Right, a mountain of awesome new games have come out these past weeks, and at this point, I'm forced to make a choice. I can only afford one full price retail game at a time, and I'm gonna post a list of games that I must pick from. I'd like all of you to vote for a single game, and the next time I go to the store in a week or two, I'll buy whatever got the most votes.

Vote on one of these:

 • Banjo Kazooie: N&B
 • Dead Space
 • Fable II
 • Fallout 3
 • Far Cry 2
 • Gears of War 2
 • Mirror's Edge
 • Pro Evo 2009

On another note, does anyone know why I can't for the life of me change the lettertype? It's permanently locked in "Normal", and the option is grayed out so I can't click it. It works on neither Firefox nor Internet Explorer, and especially not in Opera. >_> It's really annoying, because I can't write proper articles this way.

Anyway, let the voting begin. Thanks.

I just got Burnout Paradise, Saints Row 2 and 680 GB points...

So I just went out to buy a new game for this week (vacation, yay) and after having a hard time deciding whether to get Fable or Saints Row 2, I went with SR2. I also noticed Burnout Paradise for 10 euros and decided I couldn't pass up the opportunity, so now I have two awesome games to play. I won't spend a lot of time discussing them, but SR2 feels familiar, but really fun so far. I love Johnny Gat. Burnout Paradise, I'm still gettin into. I tried the bikes as well, but IMO, cars are way more fun, especially because even when you hit something at 200 mph with a bike, the bike just slowly topples over in a decidedly unepic fashion. I'm gonna go back to playing these games now though.

Oh yeah, I just got quite a few points with a single submission, 680 in fact. I should do more of these big submissions, so I can finally get those 1000 points.

Tuning out to play more Saints Row 2;

Racing games; FM2 and Burnout Revenge

So I've just finished up Burnout revenge and Forza Motorsport 2. Both are at the opposite ends of the genre, and I've had fun with both. I wrote reviews for them as well. Check them out if you wish.

Anyway, just looking at the absolute avalanche of quality games that are coming out makes me cry and check my pockets whether I can't find some more money. I now have to make a choise about which game to get. It's likely going to be Saints Row 2 as that game definitely looks like a GTA SA like fun, and I couldn't get enough of that game back in the day.

In the meantime, I'm enjoying reading everyone's blogs about all these new games.

Later guys.

Gaming Goals

I've decided to make a list of the things I want to do/complete in my games.

 • Finish Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake
 • Finish the 15 years of manager mode in Fifa 08
 • Finish Devil May Cry on the Hard difficulty
 • Beat all the games I have yet to beat
 • 5 star all the Hard songs in GHII and GHIII

That's just about all I can think of right now.

Sick at home, been playing some God Hand

So I've been sick at home today, and I'll have to stay home for the next two days. Anyways, I completed God Hand. It was a really fun game, I wrote a review about it, although the final boss sucked ass. Now I have to decide what other game I haven't completed yet to play for the remainder of my sick days. If you have any suggestions, please tell me. :) (The other games are in my previous blog post) The new guide features are tight, so I might end up making some guide one of these days, if I feel like it.

Anyway, that's all I have to say right now really. Later.

Games. They're more fun than school.

So I went back to school this week, and I reckon this will be a really shitty year. We have some of the worst teachers you'll ever meet, they're totally insane and don't know how to handle a class at all. >_> I don't really have much of a choice, I'll just have to suffer through this year, and hope things will be better next year.

I've been playing some games too, I got God Hand, Final Fantasy XII and Guitar Hero II. I finished GHII rather quickly on normal, five starring everything first try. It's song list seemed to contain less songs I truly liked compared to GHIII, but I found some really nice ones as well that I'll be listening to and playing for a while. Push Push (Lady Lightning) is oh so awesome, I'm listening to it right now infact. God Hand is awesome, but I gotta get into swing first. It's right up there in my action adventure hall of fame (see list) with games like DMC and Ninja Gaiden. Demons are assholes though. And I've never even gotten to level three difficulty. (A level indicates how hard the enemies in this game are, and it drops and climbs depending on how well you do. It's a very clever way to make sure experts keep being challenged, because level DIE! is pretty insane, and newbies don't get their asses kicked six ways til sunday all the time. And my last new game is FFXII. I'll be straight with you. I've always thought of the adoration some FF fans have for the series was pathetic. >_> I couldn't resist giving the series a try though, and FFXII is my first game. It started out real slow, but I just beat the first boss, and the game is starting to pick up. I had difficulty accepting the fact that combat practically plays itself in this game, you open up an attack menu, click on the name of an enemie and that's that. Your dude will keep on attacking them untill they die. I thought this was kinda lame at first, especially because I'm used to games like devil may cry with a very deep combat and envolved combat system. However, as gambits were introduced and I started playing around with them, I realized combat really is quite deep. You can pretty much program your entire party with gambits and then watch the battle play out by itself.

I've still got a lot of other games to complete though. My current list of uncompleted games which I should really get back to.

 • Viewtiful Joe
 • Forza 2
 • Manhunt
 • FFXII
 • God Hand
 • Shinobi
 • Onimusha Dawn of Dreams
 • Kingdom Hearts
 • Killer7

So I still have a lot of work. Anyway, tomorrow I have to get up early, so I'm off to bed now.

Later

Been playing Manhunt and Forza 2

I just bought Manhunt, and although you can definitely see the traces of the GTA engine (especially if you want to look around and you can only do it in first person, I hated that in GTA vice city and I still hate it here), stalking dudes and taking them out in gruesome ways is pretty fun. The gunplay feels really weak though, and it appears the game wants me to start leaning more towards taking dudes out with my gun. I don't want that at all, I just want to be stealthy and ram a glass-shard into the neck of my enemy, not shoot them to death. That's stupid. Other than that, great game. And I've been playing Forza2, trying to master drifting. I don't think I'll ever get good at it though. :( I've also decided from now on to write a review every time I finish a new game. I've just written a review of The Darkness, which I finished last week. I rather liked it.

So I'm back

Hey guys, I just came back my vacation in Italy. Toscana is beautifull, and I had a really great time there. But now I'm ready to get back to regular life. I'm wondering whether to buy Too Human. The demo seemed fun, but I can imagine getting bored with it before the end of the game. I bought the Darkness though, it's really awesome so far. Anyone else played it?
