Too human mother *****! Man you never think it should but hearing people leave is super sad and this one hits hard! I’ve been watching Jeff Gerstmann talk about games since like 2006! He will still be around of course and I am sure he has something lined up so looking forward to that and I will tune in tomorrow to see what’s happening with the site but for me… this is an end of an era.
Giant Bomb felt like the evolution of what he was doing at gamespot and what the industry ‘should’ of been doing at the time, Personality based content. Maybe I’m exaggerating but there wasn’t a lot of that before Giant Bomb.
Whatever he does next he left a mark on this industry that started with gamespot but will forever be etched in time with Giant Bomb!
Gta 3 definitive edition, it wasn’t as bad I had heard but open world games have come a long way and also the original didn’t crash multiple times when playing it!
Nostalgia plays a big part but for me, Ocarina of time is my favourite game of all time. I’ll be honest it does change from time to time but my first experience of playing it was mind blowing! Nothing has ever quite came close to that feeling. Really enjoyed reading your experience with it. Wind Waker is a really good game as well, so I hope you enjoy it!
I understand if your not enjoying the content on premium but the back catalog alone is great to have. I usually subscribe for a yearly subscription during the sales and have being doing so for a couple of years now. Even if I don’t watch everything for one reason or another I know that the value to content ratio is really good so will continue to subscribe.
If your not enjoying the content then don’t subscribe but if you enjoy giant bomb now or it’s back catalogue and want to support them In some way I think a yearly sale subscription is an amazing deal.
Also yeah don’t message the staff directly with ‘issues’ you have with the content or the site, that’s basically the same as trolling someone on Twitter or Instagram. Put a thread on the site and you never know they may see it or get wind of it from another member of staff.
