Now this movie isn't the worst movie in the world, because I enjoy re-watching it, but Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Price would have to be my choice. I was so disappointed in the ending, which the book ending was my favorite part in the whole series, that it's the only thing I can think of at the moment. Also, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen was pretty bad...
"I'd be too frustrated to go there. To drudge up a recent reason: They gave Hydro Thunder a bad rating because they're bad at the game. Blew my mind. "
I just read that review to see what you're talking about, and it doesn't really seem like that's why. It seems like Arthur Gies just legitimately didn't like the game, and gave some valid reasoning why. He just shared his opinion, I don't think it was a bad review. Besides, Arthur is awesome on Rebel FM. "
While I see where you're coming from, his complaints rely too heavily on "hitting the reset button". I mean, I'm not a Hydro Thunder veteran, and I've been legitimately stuck once in one of the courses. The level of speed he's complaining about is definitely there once you unlock the faster boats - which is on par with most racing games - and the "drab" graphics actually struck me as...well, kind of impressive. You don't want a bunch of visual fodder getting in your way while you're trying to focus on water physics (something else he complained about, which works extremely well), other boats, and finding shortcuts that can reduce your course time monumentally. All in all, I just felt like we were playing different games, and that's not the mark of a good review in my opinion. "
I was just about to reference the Hydro Thunder Hurricane review! Didn't he also complain about long load screens? Maybe he didn't, I can't remember, but if he did, WTF DID YOU EVEN PLAY THE GAME THE LOAD SCREENS WERE ALMOST INSTANTANEOUS.
" @arab_prince: I didn't think it was bad choice, but games like: Orange Box, Super Mario Galaxy, Crysis (Which wasn't even nominated), BioShock, Mass Effect (Wasn't nominated either), or Rock Band should have won instead. "
Currently weaseling my way through 24... I love the Lord of the Rings movies. Never read the books, just The Hobbit, but there is something about them that I find awesome. Maybe the scale, adventure, creatures, etc. I do have to admit that they get boring here and there, but I've learned to love and appreciate them.
