There can be no doubt that the SNES was a better console with the better library of games. The Megadrive may have been underrated but to claim it's the best games console ever is quite ridiculous.

If I get shouted at for hating Sega or loving Nintendo too much it simply serves as a distraction to the point raised. The Snes was better.

My gamertag is Efeman and the usual pronounciation is Elfman. I don't really see how that follows.

Mate I'm going to have to argue for the Wii here. I own all three, maybe so does the guys who have already posted. There are some brilliant exclusives on the ps3, primarily Metal Gear Solid 4 but the Wii offers some amazing games in themselves. There is a whole lot of rubbish on the console, but as you have already written, Super Mario Galaxy and The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess will keep you occupied more than any single player game on the ps3. As you've correctly stated, you can also pick up some utter classics from the gamcube collection relatively cheaply now so i'd recommend Paper Mario: A Thousand Year Door, Metroid Prime series, Super Mario Sunshine, Mario Kart Double Dash etc.

To be fair there are some amazing games on both consoles. You're not really going to lose out really if you buy either. I know a lot of people bash the Wii but there are still some truly amazing games on it.

Having read probably half the comic before going to see the film, you could already tell that the film missed the atmosphere created in the graphic novel. If anyone has read the Time review of it, I felt that it was the closest in its evaluation of the film. I felt that the music in the film destroyed the feel in some of the scenes; it would have been beneficial just to leave some of the music out.

It was an impossible task on Snyder's part but I will criticise him by not being ambitious enough. I felt that he played it safe and stuck as closely to the comic as possible, it appears, almost to protect himself from any criticism that could be levelled against him for abandoning Moore's vision. This for me, meant that the scenes lacked enough time, as lines were delivered too quickly and in parts in a comical fashion. You could almost see the 9 panels from each page transposed onto the screen.

In all, most of the film just bludgeoned it's way through the story, recognising the source material but not delivering it in the same way. But there are instances of scenes where they are pinpoint accurate, not necessarily as a true replication of the comic, but the feel and mood that is found in the graphic novel.

Having heard about the extended version on Blu-Ray I might be tempted to look at it again.

I found that I could pull it off if I jumped into the person and whilst in mid-air, completed the first full circle, so when I landed I can do the second. I still have trouble pulling it off but it does work on occasion.

The only problem I have with Brad is that he's refusing to take part in the drinking sessions. He needs to drink some of the delicious juices that are avaliable. Other than that he's an utter joker. I really enjoy the dynamics between everyone in the podcast.
