@trottyvek: Honestly at this point I'm way more excited to see that cork pop than to actually know about Death Stranding. Whether I agree or whether it's just another hyper specific Dan problem.
@soullos: Yeah this game definitely slides toward the Planescape side of that scale. Which is good because Planescape arguably should never have had combat either.
Lets assume for a moment that Vinny has never played a platformer. A new Mario game comes out, Vinny is put in charge of the Quick Look. Vinny's entire criticism of the game is "I don't like it because there's too much jumping". Every single one of you will be all over him because that's what platformers ARE. Its' what theyre known for.
Now, why does Abby get a pass for doing the exact same thing? She has a fundamental misunderstanding of cRPGs, but that's ok because... what?
Frankly I challenge the notion that anyone on this website would be that critical of Vinny for anything, let alone to this same degree.
Although Witcher 1 wasn't top down, I don't know what game Brad was thinking of when he said that? Divinity maybe?
IIRC, You could keep the camera zoom pretty far up and it sorta looked like a "classic" PC RPG.
Yea totally there was an Isometric camera mode in the witcher 1, it was very goofy, one of the strangest playing games ive ever encountered.
Yeah Witcher 1 was made on the bones of the Aurora Engine and definitely had a camera mode that zoomed all the way out sorta NWN style. You clicked on the ground to move around and everything.
I can't recall if they kept that when they rereleased it later.
So, is the "You're all 750 light" thing opt in? I've had Destiny 2 on PC for a while, but fell off it. I'd like to still do the whole progression thing if possible if/when I come back.
I don't wanna say only run quick looks on games they're interested in because that's nonsense but Dan has consistently been a rough choice to lead one on games where he's just sorta "Whatever" on.
The "Dan doesn't know the simplest shit" thing has jumped the shark so hard for me. Either it's a bit which has long run its course or Dan really has been so aloof his whole life that it really is a miracle he's where he is in his life right now.
It's not really. There are a lot of things that you just don't put any further consideration into because it's not really needed unless you get put on the spot for it for a specific reason. One could live their entire successful happy life and know only that yeah butter is butter I like that on toast sometimes.
It's very funny to shout DAN and be really frustrated and exasperated about these things but like it's definitely not a bit and totally understandable to me how exactly this would come about.
