Apparently Stellar Blade, the savior from the tyranny of woke games, has betrayed the faithful and fallen by way of adding a nearly imperceptible amount of cloth to Eve's sexy leotard.
I suspect that in a few months this will be $40 and everyone will have found a different fake thing to yell about and I’ll load this up and have a fine time.
I'm going to spend the entire year saying "Damn P3 Reload is really good I gotta get back to that" as something else comes out and I play that instead.
I mean this is Hyung Tae Kim I know their work im one of the 12 people who played Magna Carta so people act like this is some response to the current state of games but he’s Just Like This.
@sethmode: Censorship is a real loosey goosey term in this context sometimes. Tifa getting a sports bra is censorship to some of these folks.
This seems like a potentially solid game that I think the internet will keep me from ever trying because people are already being hideously weird about it.
@cikame: Yeah but the thing is... if it were building and building and people were more and more outraged by it over time that's understandable, useful even because it might eventually mean something.
But instead it builds... unless it's a really popular series and then it's fine... but then oh suddenly it's too much now that it's for a weird critical darling game.
On the subject of loot though Ronin does have a very funny "Yeah, we know" option in the menu that I don't think is in any of their games but you can assign a rarity and tell the game to just get rid of that shit (sell or dismantle) for anything under that rarity when you rest at a bonfire.
So I have been playing a little bit of Rise of the Ronin in between hangin with my pawns in Dragon's Dogma and it's still not Nioh 2 but it is Ghost of Tsushima which for me personally is a sort of lateral move that I'm able to get behind.
But yeah if the loot is something that annoyed you in their games.... it's still going to it's everywhere but now it feels even less necessary because there's no armor type system anymore so you're just throwing on whatever looks nicest, has the bigger number, or some combination thereof.
The open world is... a first timer's open world in 2024 so let's just say it's not taking a whole lot of chances but it also hasn't fell on its face in any real way yet either so we'll see.
