Great list of games, i can honestly say i love all the games listed. I could point out flaws because nothings perfect, but i just love these games for what they are.

Oh and also i would like to add Banjo-Kuzooie Nuts and Bolts to this list for that game is quite frankly amazing.

@gamefreak9: Time means nothing, whether it holds up or not means nothing the point of this is just you name a game and if someone talks shit about it then it's off the list. @example1013: Yeah, it was more of a point to anyone else I guess. I'll remove that.

@UnrealDP: Okay sounds good, I'll add that game. What about the first two are they worth playing?

Shadow of the Colossus, more because it brought so much from so little. There might be some who hate the controls, but I doubt there's anyone who hates the game itself because of that.

Also I didn't like portal. The controls felt floaty, the rooms always felt fake and the puzzles never challenged me. Also GLaDOS wasn't really my type of humour.

I would have Vampire: The Masquerade: Bloodlines on here because it's a amazing game i think, as long as you can look away from all the glitches and bugs.

@Video_Game_King: Haha, it doesn't mean he killed it unless someone else says I hate that game because of it. But, I probably wouldn't give people any ammo for the game I picked.

@example1013: Oh, I agree completely, but my argument isn't that a lack of modern aesthetic or maybe even storytelling makes Pong a bad game, it's that it makes it unrepresentative of what we've come to know as a video game. Pong is a very good example of a very simple game, but it's missing entire facets that exist in video games today.

This is the same argument people make against minimalist art as not being art. Complexity isn't any kind of real, concrete requirement for anything. It may be part of your personal definition for video game aesthetics, but simplicity doesn't make pong "not a game" any more than it makes Malevich's White on White "not a painting".

It's a surprise to see how many games are still on the list without someone shooting it down. Again, I am glad people are keeping this clean and I keep making friends and learning about games.

I personally will shoot down Deus Ex. I didn't like the game, it was boring for me. Which is a perfect example on why this topic is so great. Boom! You love it! Boom I hate it. We will never find a game that everyone can agree is good. I love it keep it up, give us more games and tell us more why you hate a game.

I'm not sure if this is an issue for anyone else, perhaps I just have a poor knowledge of older games, but there are a lot of games which I just can't shoot down because I haven't played them or at least haven't played them for a significant amount of time. I feel like we need to get more duders in on this one. I'd like to put forward The Sims though, also, shouldn't Deus Ex be crossed off the list?

I'm killing multiple right now. 
Die all Balder's gate games because you do a shit job of emulating DnD. Plus your characters are morons.

@BeachThunder: I understand that you get points for killing off games...but don't be a dick, the seriousness opposite the humor and pop culture references is what made it great. And besides, is a game like Fallout 2 really going to be kept out of the list because it lacked "a lot of the cohesiveness of the original"? If we're really going to go into such small details, then every game from the list can be taken off.

@BeachThunder: FUCK YES, I WIN, SUCK IT! Nah, just kidding, in any case, we finally agree to agree.

I don't know if this qualifies as shooting the game down, but the problem with VTM: Bloodlines is that you can only even play it with patches made by the fan community. I think the game is incredible, but the fact that it is so broken that you can barely even play it the way it was released makes it really hard to consider as a perfect game.

Keep in mind that I haven't played Fallout 2

I've played through them both a few times.  In my expert opinion, F2 is F1 with more of everything.  I think I like the story of 1 better, but I couldn't really tell you that one of them is better than the other as a whole. 
 
As a side note, I'm about 15 hours into New Vegas and its really channeling the fallout 1-2 flavor and memories for me.  I liked 3 a lot (put about 80 hours into it) but NV has already topped it. 
 
Also, I submit Final Fantasy Tactics as my Holy game.  Poured about 100 hours into that the summer it came out....  That story is so fucking epic...

@HotSauceMagik: I enjoyed that game very very much. In fact it's one of the few games I have finished twice because I enjoyed so much and may do it a third time on the PSP one day.
