@Skytylz: No, It's a thread where the point was the first person Post a game, someone says they hate it and why. They post their holy game and then so on and so on. It's meant to be fun, find out why people hate your game in a clean way, learn about games you might not of heard of and I really don't think anyone is gaining street cred.

The funny thing with your system will be this: even though Wizball is a bona fide C64 classic, there probably won't be that many people on Giant Bomb who have actually played it. I'm guessing the people who have played it (and I mean played it properly, not just fired it up in an emulator for 5 minutes without knowing how everything works) really like it, but it's still probably not large enough a sample to draw any true conclusion here.

Rest assured, though, the game is an excellent shmup, combining twitch elements, tactical decisions, brilliant music and a quirky sense of humour.

EDIT: Oh, and it has Mount Rushmore in it, too.

I've played a bunch of those, but now that I'm all the way at the bottom I've forgotten which ones, so ill comment on the one I can see.  The Granstream Saga was good, but got really boring about half way through.  So F that game.

I disagree. It was one of the first commercial games to use time travel as a key solution driving element. The only game to beat it in that regard was Day of The Tentacle which came out a couple of years prior and was destined for an entirely different audience (though you could argue that the Maniac Mansion FM Towns release disproves that). It allowed for a selection between turn based or real time combat and in that and in many others way it shaped the future for many RPGs on consoles for another decade - not just those from Square. You may not like the game but Chrono Trigger is almost the very definition of notable.

I'll put Chrono Trigger up on a pedestal.  I played it one of the summers in junion high.  It was literally life changing concerning the way i looked at playing games.  That and FFVI in one summer....kids these day should only be so lucky....
