I'm assuming you are looking PC. Dragon Age Inquisition is a fine game if not the same exact party idea. The new Shadowrun games are good and very cheap on Steam right now. If you want to go the JRPG route, Trails in the Sky is good. It has a grid based combat system different from the typical JRPG line everyone up and swing turn based system.
My wired Xbox 360 controller is dying. Basically the left stick gets stuck pushing left and I have to forcefully reset the stick to try to center it. This does make playing with it somewhat difficult. So what should I get for a replacement?
1) Another Xbox 360 pad. This is likely to be the default for a good long while and should map well with old games. It is also $15-25 less than other options
2). PS4 controller. I will be getting a PS4 soon so this more waiting until I get the PS4 and using that controller. I've heard that support is OK but there are still some issues getting it to work.
3) Xbox One controller. I have no plans to buy an Xbox One, so this controller would just be for the PC. I assume as Windows 10 become ubiquitous that the Xbox One controller will became the new default. Well, maybe it will be.
4)Steam Controller. This could be great. Or it could be terrible. Anyone know a decent write up yet?
Assuming that handheld games are really difficult to stream eliminating Ace Attorney and Layton (the fun that could be had figuring out Layton solutions while teh chat implodes in a white hot rage), I would think rpgs or Telltale style adventure games would work best. So:
VtM:Bloodlines--hey just because you killed Dracula doesn't mean vampires can't still roam about!
Pillars of Eternity--Let's dive into a complicated combat system!
Baldur's Gate/IE--Hey @ltsquigs is always up for some IE multiplayer
It is a stand in for Vietnam, but not really Vietnam but the Vietnam of 1980s action cinema of Rambo and Missing in Action and other even crappier movies.
@austin_walker Do you watch Arrow? While it does have that filmed in Vancouver, Canada gleam, that fact that Starling City plays such a role in the series echoes your theme. Of course the producers there did something amazing, and let Oliver fail spectacularly.
