LOL Im doing the exact same thing.  Played about a year ago but got stuck on the Flamelurker and put the game down but am giving it another go starting just this weekend.
 
Im playing my same character (Wanderer) but instead of tackling FlameLurker again Im pacing myself through world 4 Shrine of Storms.
 
So I think I have 1-1, 1-2 and 2-1 completed and now going for 4-1 at lvl 32 but I was lvl 26 when starting up again and havent had too much trouble, just going slow.

If you enjoy God of War dont forget that the HD version of 1+2 are available as well if you never had ps2 or tried them than.
 
edit: But that list you got is long so you may just want to start with what you got and take it one game at a time =]

Mother 3 not being released stateside worked for me.

Nintendo than Sony.
 
Real winner was the 3rd party games though.

Gamespot and g4tv both have them I think.

I think I will invest in a new PC instead.

The new console seems kind of neat to me, appeals to me more than the Wii did.  Wish there was more shown about the console itself but it's understandable that the focus was on the controller.
 
The price for those controllers has to be high though, will be interesting to see what it's set at.

I quite liked the MS conference too. I can't say a lot of the games were aimed at me, and the Kinect on-rails games look horrible.. but they still showed some impressive stuff and the games they did show were great. Sony's certainly wasn't any better. No new IP's, no surprises, and the Move stuff looked terrible.. I don't think either was particularly bad, but I don't see how you could rate one higher than the other.

My phat ps3 is still quiet as can be.  my 360 on the otherhand is incredibly loud and vibrates my whole apartment.  happy that the ps3 issues didnt seem to effect me =]
