@finaldasa: eh thats kind of unfair. They are constantly shitting on something that they are wrong about, and Brad fundamentally misunderstood how the combat works. I'm fine with their commentary, as that is what I come to Giant Bomb for and their views on JRPGS especially FF7 has been clear for a decade at this point, but you cant not expect people to defend the game from blatantly wrong statements.
I think your final point aligns with my own. Giant Bomb wouldn't be my go-to place for JRPG info.
All three of them mentioned they have either never played FF7 or that it's been a while.
I don't expect GB to know everything and when they start the video stating FF7 wasn't their cup of tea I don't expect them to then get everything right.
