Hi all!

At the risk of sounding stupid, can someone please explain what it means when people "can't find the source code" for a game? This came up most recently regarding Icewind Dale II on the Some RPGs Playdate.

I would assume that all of the "code" necessary to redevelop/modify an old game would be included on the cartridge/disc and could simply be dumped/ripped. After all, the computer is simply executing the code when the game is played--so the code and assets must all be there, no?

But, I'm obviously wrong, so please educate me!

Hi all!

I just ran across What Never Was in my Steam queue and gave it a download and playthrough. If you're looking for a (very) short, high-quality puzzle game, you should check it out!

Has anyone else played it?

We talking gameplay or story?

Either one! The topic was prompted by my frustration with a companion during gameplay, but people clearly hate companions for purely personality reasons too.

I also just remembered when I played Fallout: New Vegas on hardcore (i.e., your companions perma-die) and my companion got stung ONCE by a bee monster and slowly, unavoidably died because he wouldn't use an anti-venom, even if I put it in his inventory.

Hi, everyone!

I'm currently working my way through the Steam version of Prince of Persia: Sands of Time and have decided that Farah is the worst companion I've ever had to suffer. Not only does she require constant baby sitting, but she can ACTUALLY SHOOT YOU WITH ARROWS BY ACCIDENT!

Anyway, who do ya'll think is the worst/most annoying companion in a game?

Hi!

The site's version of the Rogue Warrior Quick Look has been removed as a "duplicate." However, it's still available on GB's YouTube Channel here. Not sure if a hyperlink needs to be rerouted.

  • There are 'mega-buildings' with whole communities and marketplaces of their own inside.
  • You can initiate bullet-time for a few seconds by huffing on a 'reflex booster'. Probably a consumable?

Sounds like they watched Dredd.

Rather than changing the settings, have you tried hitting ALT + Enter when the game launches?
