Only one I can think of is Fight Club, as many other have already said. Honestly though, I really don't really read many books if I've already seen the movies of them and vice versa. I did read The Da Vinci Code and Angels & Demons and saw both movies afterwards, but that experience hardly encourages me to do it more often (the books were okay, the movies were generally horrible, although A&D was the better movie of the two and The Da Vinci Code was the better book IMO). I recently saw the movie version of Choke and while I can kind of respect them wanting to do their own interpretation of the book, the book was SOOOO much better it's ridiculous. It almost makes me wish no one ever adapts Survivor.
In middle school we read/watched To Kill A Mockingbird, Of Mice and Men and On The Western Front and despite the fact that I'm not much of a reader and a self-confessed cinemaphile, I prefered the book in all three cases.
About the only stories I plan to read the books of and see the movie versions of as well are the Millenium Trilogy books/movies because I was so impressed by the movie version of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and I've heard the books are better, and the second book is even better than the first. I also plan to see/read The Road although I think I'll wait to see the movie first because the trailer looks really good. I'm also thinking I may follow the same pattern for Shutter Island.
" I use a Sony Bravia LCD 40 or more inches. Try reading about OLED i think they didn't have burn in and could stay on forever "
OLEDs are at least another 2 years from being viable for the mass market in anything bigger than the smallest screens, and even then it will probably be another year or two for it to actually be affordable.
I have a Pioneer PDP-5020FD which is last generation of the Pioneer Kuro line (plasma for anyone still unclear). I had a 46" Sony XBR6 (and a 40" XBR1 before that) but took it back when I caught an unbelievable price on the 50" Kuro just before the discontinuation announcement earlier this year. It's picture blows away every LCD I've ever looked at including LED LCDs and I've had zero problems with it. By the time I'll want to upgrade again, LCD and plasma will be dead technology and I'll have been enjoying a superior television in the mean time.
That's not to say LCDs are bad, but well, I just can't believe some of the FUD in this thread regarding plasmas.
