The episodes and movies were pretty self contained, barring a two parter here and there. You can't go wrong just picking up the first three box sets (the fourth changed the artstyle and presentation pretty heavily, and I didn't care for it as much).

For the movies, I don't remember them really fitting in with the series, besides Return of the Joker, which comes at the end. Stay away from the Batwoman movie, it is hot garbage. You can probably start with Mask of the Phantasm, as it goes back in time a bit.

Am I alone thinking that the guy on the radio will probably end up being the former leader of Crawford? They showed his picture in the school next to the signs, even Lee commented about him.

I think he was the zombie hanging from the bell in the church. Could be wrong though, I thought it looked like him.

Like others have said, I think the furry aspect comes from the artist's style rather than the general use of anthropomorphic animals. As long as you don't give a skunk a huge rack I think you're good.

The comic Maus made good use of the different animals representing different cultures, you might want to take a look at that if you haven't already.

I think someone asked them this on a premium stream or something and they said they didn't have anything planned.

There is a demo on steam that you can try it on, just in case.

@Genkkaku: Okay, thanks. I'll start to research festivals when I get closer to finishing it. withoutabox.com seems like a good place to start.

Hey guys, for years I have thought about starting a short film, and things have finally aligned for me. I have completed my script, I have done a storyboard, I have actors, and I have a production team (read that as one camera guy who also does lighting). The only things left are the props and picking out a few locations.

I think I'm in a unique position for making a low budget film. I work in TV (I am developing a reality show, not what I want to do, but I'm making connections), and one of the things I am going to do with the movie is show it to my boss to prove myself and hope he will let me direct some music videos. My goal is that this will lead to me getting a budget that isn't just one month of my (incredibly meager) salary.

I don't want to go too in depth on the project, I'd like to leave it as a surprise for when I finish it. I'll only say that I think Patrick would like it the best out of the crew. The opening scene is actually kind of inspired from a Giant Bomb moment.

I am doing everything in this movie except shooting it, and the things I am most afraid of is the sound and editing. I have some basic editing skills and this is going to be a very minimalist film so editing it shouldn't be too hard, it's the sound part that scares me. I am going for something unique with the sound, and I hope it comes out like I would like it too.

Now, I'm just a 21 year old fresh out of College with a Liberal Arts degree (I almost went to film school, but everyone I asked about it said it was both a waste of time and money), and there are a few things I need advice about. I'm sure there are some other aspiring film-making duders on here.

  • What should I do with it when I'm done, put it on YouTube?
  • I am budgeting out submissions for film festivals, are there genre and length requirements for festivals (It's going to be around 15 minutes)? Being that my budget is only a few hundred dollars, are there any festivals I should stay away from due to competition from higher budget films?

Thanks for reading, if anybody has any other advice I would like to hear it. I like to over-think and over-plan things, so any insight would be appreciated, I'm just happy to be finally getting started on my dream. I need to talk to my camera guy, but if it's up to me I'd like to start filming around Halloween, and GiantBomb will be the first place I show it off on.

I just downloaded the demo, and I had no idea it was a Kinect game. Turns out this is pretty much just Power-Up Heroes with an Avengers skin on it. It's kind of cool, but I don't think it's something I would buy and play for an extended length of time. My favorite part of the game is having to scream HULK SMASH to activate a super move. My inner five year old was infinitely excited.

I could see Jeff going all Liam Neeson and tape a knife and broken liquor bottles to his hands. Hell, I bet he's already done that.
