I like the idea of having a video segment, but logistically, it doesn't really sound like it would be easy on the guys.. I mean, there are only.. what, 4 people working there as main staff?

Remeber that they have to play games to review, keep up to date on news, do a weekly podcast, do all this press event stuff...

So, as ultimately awesome as it would be to see the guys have in-house tournaments, or their own weekly show, and whatnot..

I just don't think they'd be able to do it every week without them one day going "okay, this is too much, we're falling behind, we need to cancel"

I first thought this game would be just Oblivion with guns, but now I saw some demos of it, and read some articles, I'm really psyched for it, I can't wait.

From the demo, though, the shooting (without using VATS) looked a little inaccurate... I hope the guy playing it was just kinda crap, because the idea of a massive world to explore, with FPS-style play (and even RPG-style, when I'm in the mood for it, since I love me some stats) is just really, really cool.

What kinda karma are you guys gunna go for first?
I think I'm gunna have the most fun by going for all-out evil. Blowing up Megaton, betraying everyone, being a complete douche to everyone, etc...

Are you sure that you're not thinking of WWI warfare, there?

That was the war that was more glamourised to the public as being trench warfare.

WWII was more about tactical assault of key cities and maintaining high points in them, to prevent the Nazi advance.

Never really into the Spiderman comics.

More of a DC man, myself.
Green Lantern comics, mostly, but I'll make an exception to Superman if Frank Miller's doing a graphic novel, or it's Batman And Robin comics by him.

Nah, it probably wouldn't work... While the concept in itself is pretty good, there would be nothing stopping the trolls of the internet just writing really simple, 2 word reviews saying "it's good" just to get the achievement so that they can earn some credit to try and validate their existence to the other forum posters, to compensate for their lacking social life...

Sorry, a little off-topic there... Anyway, while the idea would be really fun, it wouldn't really encourage good-quality work (which is what would be given by people who are doing it for their own feeling of satisfaction and "I did this all on my own" feeling.) that is deserved by the site, it would just be full of lackluster, spammed stuff, by people that just want the points.

Definitely wouldn't work for image uploading... that's where the spamming would get out of control...

Well, I'm in the UK, and I'm still doing it. Gotta do what you can, y'know what I mean? Besides, if it's done online, then the transactions are done electronically. So that way, distance matters not!

I just got it, and I'll say that it's got a lot of the same aspects as firefox, so in that regard, if you've already got FF, then there's not much reason to get this...

Unless, of course, you're interested in the "independent tab" functionality. Basically meaning that, if one tab crashes due to a faulty site, then it wont crash the entire browser. Could be pretty handy...

It eats away at your memory, though, like nobody's business. Running about 2-3 tabs, then if you're computer doesn't have much RAM, then it might feel the strain... The task manager (which Chrome has an independent version of, showing you how much memory each tab is using) can be useful to show you how much you're using.

I like the Incognito feature in it, though, which is much like IE 8's InPrivacy mode, meaning that whatever sites you go on after activating it, are not stored in the browser history, and the cookies are not kept. Useful for.. erm.. "innocent" activities.

It's still in the beta version, but if it plays its cards right, then it could turn out to be something good.

Has anyone else tried it on here yet?

Wow, I love this. People are over-hyping games like Spore now. Not that I have anything against it, but people were hyping it to an extent that FPS players thought it was going to be their saviour...

I mean, come on guys, you've just got to look at games from an objective standpoint, like VanOrd did.

It looks like fun, but that's all really. 8's a good score. In this world, where 7s are the new 5, then 8 is above okay. So clearly, he thought it was good, just not phenominal.

Lmao. Unfortunately, it is... Santa brought a London Burger to me last christmas, and what else would he have taken the meat from?

Gotta say, all that exercise those reindeer get from delivering presents makes the meat very tasty. Yum.
