BS. it also should have ended 2000, Y2K scare anybody? or 1999 (inverted 666, the number of the beast, riiiight), why 2012 now? the new XBOX comes out?
After this it will be some other date to distract from the important issues that are at hand right now in the present.
And besides, the mayans were "soooo right" about all their other cataclysmic foretellings...
I've seen people (women mostly do this, mothers usually, maybe with children in car) blink in CURVES, not even turns. Why do they do that? Because the're overly careful, and that, is something of a rare stuff nowadays on the roads (agreed blinking in curves is not helping, but its the principle). I prefer somebody that blinks at every freaking little change of direction, no matter how small it is, if it helps my awareness of what he is doing on the asphalt i share with him. I'm a motorcyclist, i dont have the luxury of a metal car body work around me, i have to drive defensively and be aware what goes on around me at all times, so there is no such thing as too much signalization of ones intentions. Way, waaay to often people dont use the blinkers at all, so if i have to pick between the two vices, i prefer the former.
As fellow above, i find LIVE a fundamental component of the xbox360 experience.
I rather much get a game when its price drops or second hand than rewire my console. I love digital distribution though, the only problem is that in the current time its used wrong, why do we get charged the same price for virtual content (I.E. games on demand) as the physical retail box costs? Publishers/developers literally cut out the middle man getting a bigger share of the revenue, but i think they should also factor that in the final price, it would surely discourage piracy/"power-trading" and actually make it easier and cheaper to get games out there to the masses, and not take away anything from their profits, but as it is with things nowadays; its not about whats right, its about whats more profitable, and THAT will ultimately be "right". I'll vote with my money -- piracy doesnt make gaming better -- smart consumerism does. I support XBLA games, thats the right direction to go (just look at Shadow Complex for example, or Bionic Commando: Rearmed, etcetera).
