Me excited about the game. Hope it comes to the next gen consoles because I don't intend on having the old ones hooked up in 2015. Anyway-love the idea of a Mega Man made for today. I'd like to see some more fluid controls and crazy effects myself.
This is a good sign for future game sales on the eventual Xbox One marketplace if these types of discounts continue to be a thing.
Indeed. One of the theoretical advantages of the old Xbox One policies was the thought that they could do "Steam-like" sales. Honestly I didn't think they'd do it but looks like they are going in the right direction. I'd get games on extreme sale on the Xbox One via download.
I still don't get the point of this and a potential "steam box." Essentially, Valve wants to make a PC console, which I guess is ok, but one of the things I like about my PC is that when I'm not using it for games, its still a computer. I need a computer for school and my daily life, the fact that my computer ALSO plays games is just an added bonus. I guess I'm just not really seeing who this is for. If I already have a computer, why would I buy a Steam box?
And people seem to be forgetting that all of this will be running on PC's, you know, the machines that let you do quite a lot of shit like running multiple OS's...
if that is the case, then ultimately won't be a game changer. One of the prime advantages of a console is the price. If Valve can come out with a Steam box at a sub-$500 price point (that makes the games looks comparable to next-gen consoles) then there will be a new contender in the market. If it's a $1000 box that hooks up to my TV and doesn't to the things I use a PC for, then no dice.
Never really understood why people have issues with "Gone Home" or even games like "the Walking Dead" as games. When I first got a PC years ago, the major PC genre were adventure games and loved those games.
