So I'm going to the midnight (well actually 10pm) release of Iron Man 3 in 3D IMAX tomorrow night and was just wondering what to expect. I've never been to an IMAX midnight release, and the only midnight releases I've been to have been for the Harry Potter and Twilight movies (with my ex). Those you had to show up about 6-8 hours before show time to get decent seats (and this was on the east coast, so I'm not so sure how crazy people get out here). I don't think there's as much excitement for Iron Man 3 than there was with those movies (for example the last Harry Potter movie sold out every seat in every theater at the one we went to, therefore when they opened the doors they said you could choose whichever theater you wanted to sit in...It was like a stampede).

I'm thinking that it being IMAX would mean not as many people will be going to that version ($15.50 a ticket!), and it's opening at 9PM for the 3D and non 3D versions in the regular theater.

How early do you think we should show up to get decent seats? I definitely don't want to sit at the bottom for IMAX.... Any guesses? Have you been to a Marvel / DC IMAX midnight release before? Was it sold out?

Thanks!

So I was browsing blogs today and came across a post talking about HitBliss and decided to sign up for the beta. HitBliss pays you to watch targeted ads and you can exchange your credits to rent movies and TV shows through the service.

You can earn money quicker by giving HitBliss more information (such as allowing it to access your browser history and search history) but you can share as little information as you want and just watch ads.

The app will check if you're actually watching the ads by popping up a "are you still there?" window occasionally which prompts you to click a button or press enter to confirm you are indeed watching the ads. The faster you click the more 'points' you gain toward your trusted user level. Also the more times you respond to the prompt (without missing any) the more points you get.

You can earn up to $5 at any given time, when you hit $5 you have to spend it on a rental (I believe they can send you a check if you prefer). I earned $5 in no more than ten minutes this afternoon. I share all of my information with the app (I'm never afraid of sharing information with anything) which allows me to earn credit the quickest. But $5 for ten minutes of 'work' (watching commercials) isn't bad.

I imagine they'll slow the earning speed after it's out of beta, but for now it's a crazy good deal. I'll be renting Django Unchained for free. The only downside is as of right now all of the movies / tv shows are only in standard definition, but I'm assuming after the beta they'll probably get HD video.

Anyway, I just thought I'd share, and see if anyone else is using this service.

So I'm a few hours in and I have to say it's not the worst game I've ever played. It has some really poor level design at times, the jumping can be really horrible and there are some annoying glitches....But it's playable. Saying that, it's not worth $60 at ALL. But if you can rent it, I would say at least give it a shot. $2/day from Red Box, you can cut your losses at $2 or you could probably beat it in a night. I'm about 4, maybe 5 hours in and have just 3 missions left.

I wrote a review (of sorts) if you want to read a bit more. It could've been better, but out of all the movie games ever made I'd say it's certainly in the top 5%.

It has been awhile since I played Game Dev Story itself but I don't remember if they had scenarios or factors like piracy. I would even say going forward that such simulators should take into account "fickle internet fans" and "rampant piracy".

Game Dev Story did not simulate piracy.

I don't think anyone would care. Very few people even know the Wii U exists right now, and the people who do know wish they didn't know. They'd be better of stopping the bleeding early than dragging the failure out.

It would be cool if they could do something where like Dance Central could project the moves on the floor or something. I'm really excited for IllumiRoom and Kinect 2.0

Will there be guns??

Cross platform?

Infinity Ward birthed the master piece that was COD 4, can they ever live up to that?

What do you mean can they ever live up to that? They also made MW2 and 3 you know? Each was a major improvement over the previous edition, so yes they already have 'lived up to that' and will again. Can't wait for GHOSTS.
