The chaos and fun of Saints Row is fully intact in the underworld, but a new setting can only go so far.
Dimensions recaptures enough of Geometry Wars' thrills to stand as the best new dual-joystick shooter in quite a while.
The little mushroom man finally gets his name on the marquee, and the result is a charming, unique, and puzzle-heavy adventure.
Wait, why wouldn't they put the first game in here? What the heck?
At 28:17 @jeff spun that wheel and neither him, nor @brad went "I-I-III want the kniiife!" when you had the chance! Unsubscribed!!
(No, not really. Great Quick Look!)
Sorry, we used up our Golden Child reference points in the Sonic Boom Quick Look today.
@gerrid: I've had access to the game here at home for the past several days and spent a good chunk of time playing multiplayer under real conditions. Wouldn't have posted a review if I hadn't!
@poortommy: Glad you like them, but to be clear, these aren't ads. They're produced for radio and run on a selection of CBS-owned or affiliated radio stations. I choose what to talk about and write 'em, then they get made to sound all nice and are shipped off to some online repository where program directions can use them during program breaks.
The info probably isn't all that useful to people here on the site, but I thought people might like to hear them anyway, just to hear what sort of info the "mainstream" is receiving from us.
It boggles my mind how people didn't know this wasn't a simulation game. They presented it as arcade from the start. How Jeff didn't know this i'll never understand.
It's bad at both!
@turboman: Considering they're selling this as a full product, that's what I'm playing and that's what I'm reviewing. I don't really care what the demo looks like.
Jeff might want to check the number of dislikes 'Bombing the a.m.' gets before singing its praises too much.
I would like to think that you'd already know that I'm not the type of sucker to use YouTube comments/ratings as any kind of indicator one way or the other.
Jeff is such a badass I wish I was like him but apparently I'm just a child. Jeff should stream himself playing Silent Hills P.T. to show how badass he is.
Oh please, save the macho bullshit. This isn't me beating my chest and saying I'm tough. This is me legitimately wondering what it is that people (in this case adults with opinions I really respect) see in that genre. And the answers I get back seem so half-hearted that I just can't understand how people get legitimately scared by this stuff. Startled and jumpy, sure. But legitimately scared? Why? How?
I've been playing this thing for a couple of days. It's pretty mindless. Also, it doesn't use any licensed music or voice samples... the whole thing feels like a bootleg WWE product. Anyway, the price is right, I guess. I'm on my way to winning my first King of the Ring.
Pretty much,it looks like a good game and the reaction from Brad and Jeff just feels the same as they usually have for these types of games, however Destiny seems to be the one they like...I wonder why...
Probably has something to do with the shooting and general gameplay in the Destiny beta feeling competent-to-great in most spots while most of the combat and movement in Firefall feels sluggish and sloppy.
