Resident Evil 4. Besides it's great gameplay and graphics for the time, It's got some kind of goofy charm I can't put my finger on that I've never experienced with another game.
I'm not a fan of the sterile, family friendly violence in games today. In the vast majority of "violent" games wounds are either downplayed (gunshots resulting in little blood splatters, or no blood at all) or ridiculous over the top gouts of blood and comic dismemberment. To truly have effective violence in games it needs to be more realistic and gritty. I remember catching a bum on the side of the head with my pipe in Condemned and seeing his teeth go flying out as he got spun around. It was subtle and awesome and has stuck with me as the best in game violence I've experienced.
Above all though, videogames need more disemboweling.
I thought the other two trailers were better, but maybe I think I was disappointed when a trailer titled Ashes to Ashes didn't feature the David Bowie song.
Parks & Recreation, Home Movies, and Archer are three great comedies available on Netflix. Also, Better Off Ted. I started watching it out of sheer boredom but by the second season I was really enjoying it.
If you can get over the fact that they're "for kids", Cartoon Network has got a pair of hilarious shows going right now with Adventure Time and Regular Show.
If shit goes down and society collapses you'll have the skills to survive, white those ivory tower elitists will be prey for the jackals. So just hope for that I guess.
All the friends I've had that have gone into the military are people who I would consider intelligent and hard working.
